Narcotics I'm assuming is being synonymous with opiates in your post which do little physical damage to the body for even extended periods of time. The damage was most likely caused by the APAP (paracetamol) if you were on Vicodin or Percocet. You could have asked your doctor to switch you to a long-term opiate for pain management such as methadone or morphine sulfate ER. Being a surviving cancer patient obtaining a prescription of either should not be too difficult along with obtaining a prescription for Marinol for the appetite increasing effects of cannabis. The cop pulled his gun on you because you were hunting intoxicated which is illegal already. If you were told to go talk to and than arrest a guy intoxicated with a gun I'm sure you would have your fire-arm at the ready as well. Please stop trying to victimize yourself, if you do not posses a valid license to posses marijuana for medicinal purposes it is illegal plain and simple, the laws have been in act since the 1930's. Sure marijuana might help you but I'm sure smoking some opium would help as well but its illegal thats why people don't walk around carrying jars of it! Sorry I cannot take pity of your situation just because of your stupidity of carrying around jars of pot... were you really planning on finishing a jar of cannabis to yourself while out hunting? Why not just bring like an eighth or a quarter? If you need more than that then the carcinogens from all that smoking is probably aiding to your cancer rather than helping abolish/alleviate it. Also yes if cops can see drug paraphenalia in plain view in your house while searching your surrounding property than that gives them enough evidence to obtain a proper search warrant, they'll go into your house an hour or so before they receive it but as long as they do it most likely will not matter in court.

An if he was already caught with a jar of marijuana and than the cops saw possible drug paraphernalia in his place of residence that gives them enough substantial evidence to obtain a warrant an as long as they obtain a warrant it really does not matter much to the judge regarding which order it occurred (at least it did in my case 
) because facts are facts and he was cultivating illegal drugs in his house so no matter which order the warrant occurred the final results would be the same. I'm not posting this to say "No your wrong my way is how it is going to go, your ignorant" because your a well-rounded person Serapis I am just simple stating as "Mygirls" had in "How to sell marijuana and not get caught" or something along those lines and that is Marijuana is federally illegal and in the victims case state illegal and that is more than likely all the judge will be really viewing. How many crank cooks do you see being let loose because the cops did not obtain proper documents to search the property of manufacturing? When it comes to a drug case in the Penial system it is basically a black and white argument for the majority of cases now a days sadly :-/
