LOL....I've never read the rules of this site....No infractions either. I'm kewl with just about anything people. There is a line in the sand and most rational sane people who lack deep rooted mental defects,,,,know where that line is. I've seen Doc08/Burning/Mr. Personality cross it a few times. That is why he is on my ignore list. This Canuck has no time or desire to interact on any level with the person behind the doc08/burning personna or others of his ilk. It is true that if you ignore the trolls completley they will go away since there is no longer any food for them.

Who here remembers when the wake n bake thread got shut down back in the summer of 2009 because a mod one day decided he thought people were posting in it to much.
who here remembers all the Original members who went off and created their own forums, and most the Members who actually know about growing left, sure we still got all the CFL master growers here... We still got some good growers here, but its FEW AND FAR BETWEEN compared to what it once was.
Who remembers jackmayoffer or tipsgonb..

I have never tried saying I know how RIU used to be, nor have I tried to act like I do, I clearly say multiple times that it is the old RIU that I hear about from the older members that have stuck it out, or even the guys that have been here for just a year or two. While the site might not be as informational or filled with great growers of the past, there are still some helpful posts, as you stated. It is just a matter of actually having the smarts to recognize, and doing research on your own too.
This petition was to try to get the haters, trolls, flamers, whatever one wants to call them, to be dealt with differently than punishing the older members that have, unfortunately, been driven out of here by the downfall ths site has done in their eyes.
Does this petition directly relate to the misinformation that is all over the grow forums? No, but ever heard of the ripple effect? If we start weeding out these guys from the bottom (trolls, flamers) then why couldn't this become more of a mature site again?
While I feel your pain about the growing sections having some shitty information, this thread wasn't started to address that.

The problem isn't a lack of folks who know the RIU ropes, the problem is no active mods.... even the regulars know when FDD goes away; then you start seeing "fuck you" posts...
You guys can blame it on newbs all you want, I see more older members abusing others more than anything.... This thread was a perfect example....
