SCROG-SOG, Method Advice from the Pros Please!

Hello pros I understand the ideas behind the screen of green, or sea of green method. My questions are as follows......what strains take well to the method? should I trim under the screen or not? Any good nutrient combos to help fill the screen fast? Should I top my clones or just leave them alone? And last but not least what grow system is best for our girls? I'll post pics of my space and screen soon. Thanks for the help!

I found jillybean to take very well to scroggin' and I don't top I Lst. I grew my girls from clones to 14" then bent them down to 8' and placed under a screen 5 out of six bent nicely without any noticeable stress and the one that did snap grew a branch from the split that rivals the main stem now. so I would have to say sativas are my preference for scrog. I've found indicas too rigid and tough to maneuver without completely snapping.
if you have any questions feel free to ask!

I have made a screen and plan to grow useing that method. So scrog is what I need advice with? New question once the plants are under the screen, should I start the flowering 12/12 or whit until the screen is full?

I waited until the screen was roughly 60% full and that allowed for the stretching during the first 2 weeks of flower, I grow a mostly sativa strain so I didn't want it to overgrow the screen

That setup you have there is pretty much exactly what I am planning on doing, I want a lot of variety this grow. So I wanted to do 1 - 3 ladies in a scrog occupying the back half of my tent with a couple different ones out front filling up the left over space, I have 7 different strains germinating now and 5 are already in peat pucks, but havent broken ground yet so to speak.

Nice setup "Spicy8305".....My plans have changed slightly, I was growing two abusive clones, and one bubba kush clone. Now I have white widow seeds that I have had for a year in water as I type. So the grow will stay scrog, DWC....soon to be 400watt closet grow!?....so new question! Seed vs clones? I know the idea with using clones is uniformity in growth, but my seeds are supposedly all white widow so after finding the males, won't growth be uniform also?? Thanks for the posts...

I actually prefer growing from seed, but clones are faster, honestly out of a dozen clones the only ones that grew uniformly were the 3 I had under the screen since the beginning, plants left to veg vertically varied 3-6" in height and width.
growing from seed has it's own issues
For my Snowcap grow I planted 6 seeds, 5 sprouted, 2 were male, out of 3 fems I ended up with two tall pretty girls and a short fat ugly one that you have to hook up with your buddy. j/k haha.

Haha nice!...I feel good about the seeds, my clones are all showing sings of Phosphorus deficiencys. So I'm not to sad about switching these three out for some fresh ones! So I have pics just haven't uploaded yet I will tonight.

dont trash your plants yet, you'd be shocked at what abuse they can take with a little love I'm sure you can get them to bounce back

What is a phosphors fix? Im using some dry hydroponic veg nutes, and I keep the pH at 5.8-6.2..... The leaves have dark spots and patches. I'm still doing the white widow also.

just give the plant a good fertilizer specialized for blooms, they tend to have more phosphorus or you can add some bone meal

I'm starting a super soil tomorrow that will be ready in two weeks for my white widow seeds. And with the things I will need for the soil bone, kelp, and blood meal will be bought tomorrow. So we will see.
