My Light Fixture Fell Close to Seedling During Night!

I would have to say yes. But I would trim the dead parts off of the two smaller leaves (roughly half), followed by misting again. As long as you didn't cook the apical meristem, you're good. The plant isn't going to make the dead parts alive again, but don't worry about that. The trimming will not only allow more light to the head, but chances are it will stimulate a "FIM-like" response, resulting in numerous colas. But from what I can say, she should definitely make it will a little TLC. And secure your light, then secure it some more, then wrap duct-tape around that haha

Should I cut down on lights or move them further away? They were pretty close to it before.

I have no idea how this happened. My lights are hanging down and somehow it fell closer to the plant...

2 26 watt CFLS. they were about 2-3 inches away from it. Don't know whether I should back them off.

What should I do with the leaf on the left? The base of it is pretty fried but the end is unharmed. Can it rejuvenate itself?

leave the lights where they are...its still standing so it will be fine man. that leaf will probably hang on untill some new ones grow in.
it wouldnt be a bad idea to back the lights off, or pull it out and foliage feed it like twice a day

no offense but if you can't secure a simple light from falling on seedling you should just buy your weed.

It was a freak accident. I had adjusted the chain that is holding the lights from above before I went to sleep. For whatever reason, it slipped a few notches during the night. If I was aware it wasn't secure I obviously wouldn't have let it happen.

But thanks for your completely irrelevant noncontributing post to my thread.

Hey man. i've dropped lights on plants twice. Shit happens. They're resilient plants.

And i agree that like momma said, if you got nothing nice to say, keep your mouth shut. It's a good philosophy.

i would vote that yes, she'll make it. i've seen plants with less than 50% live growth come back. If she'ss still standing now, i'd say she might be slow growing for a while longer, but she'll bounce back, imho. Positivity!

Thank you Lime. i have begun to view growing as i do the rest of the world. When you get all caught up on the details, you mess it up almost every time. i have spoken to 2 veteran compensated growers that have assured me that the K.I.S.S. method is the only way to go. And my vegging clones have never looked better. i think i have a slight deficiency that is just starting so i will take a few clippings and take them to my buddy for analysis and add ONLY what they are deficient in. All the complicated stuff leads to complicated issues, imho.

Got to keep those cfl's close and things like this happen. Had a light fall on one of my plants, but thats why I plant back ups.

BTW: the girl that got hit turned into a strong bush. :peace:

He's a Chihuaha/Terrier mix. We adopted him and his friend Molly(black lab) b/c their owners got evicted. It was the pound or us. Unfortunately, we got evicted for taking them. BUT, we got a house with an extra bedroom and bath for $100/mo less. My dogs got me my grow room. CHEAP! LOL!
