Dude, if you don't know where to plant the seed, I suggest you place an order with the attitude, and while you wait the week or two for your seeds, sit on these forums and read every guide and faq you possibly can, because its not as easy as you think, especially in arizona where our humidity is rarely over like 30% and you need to deal with summer temps of 120

@orangeade5-ha, i do think you meant well, but many times on some forums ppl dont mean well and are rude/mean..."where to plant" was referring to "where the sun dont shine", which seemed where that was going....i have read alot since last summer...u have MMJ card & 12 plants growing?...do you have seeds/buds?

@Dominathan-everyone here knows more about everything than me, but that article sounded like it was local sheriff

california has a website where you can buy/sell/trade seeds/buds, yes or no? IDK....if so, does Arizona have something like that? there, again, clear, concise & to the point.......
are there local meetings of organizations or something?

The attitude is a seed shop on the internet. Been very friendly to me. As for the organizations I think its more the "people you know" type. Doesn't hurt to check craigslist though.

Yup like this guy said. Order from Attitude. I do and every time its here in 2 weeks. As for the humidity I had to buy two humidifiers to keep the humidity at 50%. To deal with summer temps and reservoir heat issues I went out to Lowes and bought five of those 5 gallon sport coolers. My res temps stay in the low 60's for a week at a time, I dont have to use any bennies or h2o2 in my res.

have never heard of anywhere in AZ or craigslist that you can buy /sell/ trade seeds. Go with Attitude and pay the extra 10 bucks for a t-shirt and get GUARANTEED stealth delivery.

Nice t-shirt, too!

@Stuffin,

As far as where to get the seeds/clones in AZ: sadly it's not as easy as being the UK, for example, where selling seeds is legal (you just can't germinate them!). Your best bet is to meet someone in AZ who has seeds or clones to 'donate'. One of the biggest problems at the moment is that people are shying away from too much of that until they can meet people they trust. Things will get easier.

It would be really cool to trade clones with AZ growers. I would definitely do a meet and greet with the right folk!

Growing outside is tougher In AZ for more than one reason. Firstly, MMJ state or not, FEDS told to leave growers alone or not, the new MMJ laws allow for growing your 12 plants in a locked facility, which can be an open area if the walls are 10 feet high, etc etc. From what I understand, in order to get the plants their required sunlight hours, you'd have to have an outdoor facility 150x150 feet square and plant them in the middle of it--clearly impractical. If you DO insist on growing outside you'd have to find a secluded, brightly lit spot where no-one is likely to see what you are growing or, indeed, smell it. Add to that the humidity and temperature issue as mentioned by orangeade5. That's the reason there are so many posts on indoor growing, with lots of information of lighting, etc.

Legal issues aside for a moment, I don't think it would hurt to give your plants some daylight time, and gradually introduce them to the 12/12 natural light cycle of an indoor grow for flowering (when the plants are at their most distinctive, and smelliest and at their most likely stage in life to be discovered). Sunlight would be their best friend--it is, after all, the goal of all lighting setups to mimic the sun as closely as possible. Frequency of watering would go up, as they'd certainly dry out faster, and humidity would have to be addressed, as well.

I certainly think you'd get better results, but there is a lot to take into consideration when planning an outdoor grow in AZ.

I agree--it's just a case of making that initial contact..
Totally agree. You never know who could be a narc. Someone should rally a group of AZ growers together at a bar or something of that nature do a meet and greet feel eachother and perhaps exchange numbers and take it from there.

there's things like NORML?? meetings, right? But for card holders, its quite a bit different...actually, until dispensaries open, that would be the only time to legally aquire seeds (or buds through a legal for both parties transaction) besides growing...i think there is a NPO in oro valley too...an article (cover story) in our alt-newsweekly this week had very little besides that.
