But I must retract my previous viewpoint and come around to disclose what it is that is occurring, and mark my words as this is really the truth and I do feel somewhat deserving of your condescending remarks after I realized what is occurring. Although my friend I assure you lack of intelligence and education are not part of my many flaws. And you could have displayed your virew as to me in a much more intelligent manner as well but I really have nothing at all invested in what you r opinion is of anything especially myself. But that stated this is a matter of quite grand importance and is definitely a security breach of the collected data of roll it up and the Attitude but it is not of their design or doing nor intent.

These two cyber entities are being hacked and attacked to cause their demise by a member of this forum who is going to probably succeed as this member is of knowledge and intelligence most only can begin to comprehend. What better way to accomplish this than to hack into members/customers info and then send them out emails that look like the Attitude and specifically stating "See you on Roll It Up again soon"...that was quoted directly from the email another member forwarded to me so I could investigate further. It states the name ordered under from the attitude...used the email addy from RIU....stated a city close to where they are from which indicates ip's were used and not actual shipped to addresses. The reasone this all came together for me after seeing the email was it is blatanly showing that RIU is involved using info from there and the Tude...My hypothesis is security breached here...info obtained...ip's used to find corelated ip address hits on the 'Tudes site to catch customers there and the name ordered under hacked as well...but because of the nature of this site's content and the wares of the 'Tude widespread panic will soon ensue and traffic both here and at the 'TUDE will slow to a crawl....if not die completely


It will probably result in this site's demise and the loss of ability for US customers to order from the 'Tude...but is not an attack on any of the members or customers but has to seem so somewhat to give that member the paranoia power they need to succeed

And the member who is doing this has an awesome goal...but it is gonna hurt to get there...this is just the beginning... I know now most will think me mad or confused...but mark these words is all I have to say

Ruiner - I get spam just as often as the next guy. The IP trace is NEVER correct. They never get the city right. They can only get an idea of what central office your ISP is giving you. This email has ALL of my info!! ALL of it. What are you not understanding here? All the other spam mails have nothing in comparison. You keep grasping at straws with your explanations and all of them are not even close to what has happened here. Our private info was stolen. You may take this with a grain of salt but we are not. We have every right to be pissed about it and/or concerned.

Could this be nothing to worry about? Maybe.......but either way someone got ALL of my info and they got ALL of my info RIGHT. This was not an IP check. IP checks get the city right maybe 5% of the time. IP's are checked thru the MAIN central office where they originate. Your connection may go thru your small cities central office but the IP itself can only be checked thru the main HUB in the controlling central office.

For example. You live in Coral Springs, Florida. Your connection goes thru the Coral Springs central office and is routed to the main HUB in Fort Lauderdale. When your IP gets "checked" from any site it wont show your EXACT city. It will only show where your IP is connected thru the main HUB in the largest controlling central office. So in this case your IP check would show you in Fort Lauderdale. It never gets your city right unless your connection goes right to the main HUB. It also wont get my name, address and phone # from an IP check.

None of that info was in the email forwarded to me for my perusal

It included the main hub city, not where the sender resides, the name ordered under, and specifically states "See you on Roll It Up again soon"

This is the biggest indicator which supports my hypothesis

This site which is advertised by the email is associated with Demon Seeds/ UK

But I doubt they even know...this was put together by someone else

Just got this from the Attitude

We are aware of some of our newsletter subscribers have been emailed by this company. We are looking into this matter with the utmost urgency and have already contacted the http://www.yourmailinglistprovider.com/ who sent this email on behalf of highlife.
Our email newsletter and addresses are not held on the same data base, so if these emails have been stolen, please be aware that there has not been a breach of any other sensitive information other than email addresses.
We have previously implemented 300 specific emails in the newsletter email data base, this will verify if the email addresses have been stolen. If it happens to be the case this is an illegal action and there will be a case for the 2 companies ‘Highlife’ and the mailing company to be taken to court for damages, theft, and unethical business practice. If the email data base has been stolen this would be very easy to prove, hence helping us discipline and Take action against them.
Attitude Apologies profusely for any concern this may have caused you, and we would like to stress again that we are doing everything we can to resolve this and we are not taking this matter lightly. Adam H

was there not a thing before with peoples cc details at the tude peeps were buying seeds only to find that there cc had brought apple ipad an spent large amounts of money at apple store,

well checked my spam an inbox again an i still not had the email so i might have been a lucky one an i have been using attitude every promo month for long time still have last christmas promo seeds,

but as others have said bad on there behalf what tude should do is to have a check done on its staff crb check most jobs i go for in the uk use this check weed out the bad apples
i will keep using tude until i have bad deed done to me or if it infact does turn out that the tude are selling peeps info

its not that i keep myself to myself i do not go out selling i dont advertise the fact that i love this plant only on this site i just grow these little ladies for my own benfit not just for the smoke but to have fun,i do not have bad back/spinal probs/ms or anything like that i just get abit depressed sometimes an this magical plant takes all that away.

i mean there is so much you can do breeding to try an create your very own strain,lst,supercropping,topping,sog,scrogg etc etc this is one of the greatest hobies i have ever done,rephrase that it is the greatest hobby i have ever done except motox

So I checked my email.. I had the email in my junk box.. But my email said free shipping to: and that was it. It didn't have my name or address or anything. I would of never even knew about the email if not for this thread. So is everyone's names and info showing up in there emails?

I googled some stuff and I found a way to ping a site and the ping that I used says this is what it does...
Anytime you view a web site information is sent from your computer to the web server and from the web server to your computer. The transmission of this information is normally sent in "plain text", meaning anyone would be able to read it should they see it. Now consider this. Each piece of information transmitted traverses many computers (servers) to reach its destination.

When i used the ping it goes through 4 computers and 5 servers by the looks of it. The servers it goes through is apperintly called rackspace.net and each of them has a different ip address. I've never used a cc online and when I found out that PSN got hacked and alot of people's cc was stolen I learned to never use a cc to buy things online unless you really have to. No I can see why some seed banks say send cash and not to use any cc due to them possibly getting their servers hacked. :(

Name ordered under...close to the correct city...directly mentions roll it up...this is the only name ever ordered under from and the email it was sent to was only used for riu registration

I wouldn't be surprised if its the server systems that the info goes through is what got hacked because that's the only way the info can get leaked.

I wouldn't be surprised since latly hackers have been attacking sites and such. Here in Jan or Feb some hackers took down the cop server and they couldn't give you a ticket or any thing. 3 schools in the US got a virus planted into their server.

Just got a message from The Attitude telling me they know they didnt get hacked and they will have a answer soon. Will let you guys know as soon as I hear anything else from them.

Two questions:

1) Why does Attitude "store" all our info in a database? They have your whole order history with ALL relevant info. There is no way to remove it.
2) Why isn't their an option to remove your account/account info?

I agree but I think seed banks should have the option of not having to make an account but you can order seeds and they give you a order number and such.
