Is This Nute Burn? With Pics

I'm assuming this is nute burn but figured I'd run it by the experts :) I thought it might be a deficiency at first.

That's one of two Tangerine Dream plants I grew from seed. It's about 2.5 weeks old. The other TD is fine, in fact all the other seedlings (the rest are sour diesel) look fine except the one right next to this plant. That other plant has just a very small dot the same color as the ones in this pic.

I've been using:
Advanced Nutrients sensi grow A & B (1/2 strength)
dynagrow protekt (1/2 strength)
Hygrozyme (1/2 strength)
and a couple waterings I tried adding some Liquid Karma at (1/2 strength)

if you are growing in soil, there's probably no need to give them nutes yet. you may have overfed them, but not to a level that causes nute burn, but rather one that causes lockout. this means that over-abundance of one element causes the plant no to take in other elements such as calcium (perhaps your case). most of these problems are from bad pH. make sure your pH is adjusted. If not, flush your soil with adjusted water (6.5 for soil) and keep watering with that. Start feeding at 3 weeks in soil, no more than 1/2 dosage even less. you'll be good.

Ok thanks guys. The dirt is sunshine mix 4. I've been meaning to ask about ph. I usually adjust it to 6.0 but when I test the water that runs out the bottom of the pot, the ph is low, like low 5s sometimes as low as 4.7 Are you supposed to raise your ph to adjust for this?

Sounds like low ph might be it. I do have some cal-mag on hand in case I run into a cal defficiency. Would it be best to just flush with the 6.5 ph water? Then wait to see if I need to try some cal-mag later?

Thanks again!

Yes, low pH can cause calcium and magnesium deficiencies. This is most likely your problem. You could fix it with calmag, but I think your idea is best. Up the pH to even higher than 6.5, perhaps 7, as something in there drives it constantly lower.

and please, update this thread as you progress, people need to know what the problem was and how you solved it (if), not only now but in the future as well (people search for their problems and find these threads).

I would flush with 6.2 water cause your growing in soilless. Check out my grow facts on the bottom of this post.
I didnt add veg feedings but it should be about 400ppm once a week.
When you flush you are basicly correcting any problems you might have.

Okay sounds like flushing with higher ph 1st then using cal-mag (if needed) the following watering. I'll try 6.8 ph. I'll need to use a touch of ph up I think.

Also.. The dirt is still damp, not soaked, it's been a couple days since I watered it. Should I wait until it's ready to be watered or flush now?

I'll make sure to post pics once a week in this thread to show the progress of fixing or killing this plant :) the other TD plant is the prettiest in the group. I'll take a pick of them together next time.

promix is notorious for having low ph (early to mid flowering when lime is depleted), I have been researching problems with promix for like a year and a half.. Next time you use it just add some dolomite lime to the mix before hand and that should buffer your ph and keep them nice and happy. And running a higher ph'd water thru your pots ISN'T gonna change you soils ph

Why would you flush with 6.8? its out of range for soilless. Flush with 6.0-6.5.
Trust me. I have my own grow facts haha and have grown in your medium alot.
Wait till its dry and then flush with 6.0-6.4

Oh its you again haha. Lack of calcium in your medium/solution will result in lower ph but when your water is 6.4 every time you wont have a problem.

WRONG but to each his own. and that's bs i supplement with calmag. Promix is peat based and as the peat breaks down it becomes more acidic which lowers your soils ph.. But whatever you say cause i ain't smokin your buds and you aint smokin mine.. But go with his advice and im willing to bet you start to see mag def early to mid flowering

The only reason your ph is low in promix is because you feed to much. And your plant doesnt eat it all resulting in acidic levels.
It doesnt take a whiz to understand this.
You can add all the lime you want but when you feed to much your always gonna see a ph drop.

Well I've already been using 6.0 and that's ended up with a low ph problem, I figured I'd go higher to compensate. I'll try the 6.5 next watering then, that should be tomorrow.
