As far as ease of use, LED's are the simplest light. just plug it in a grow. they have built in fans, so there is no need to cool it down. it has a built in hanger, so all you need to do is clip it to a chain. don't get me wrong... I don't think they grow as good as an HPS yet. they have their pros n cons to just like any other light. It just makes sense for my situation to use them. lets say you were replacing a 400W HPS you would need around 280W of LED draw to match it.this would cost $700. It seems like a lot in the beginning but you save over 100 watts daily and you wouldn't need all the fans that pull power. plus it lasts for 12 years. I am not saying LED's a better nor will I ever. I am saying that in my situation they are working much better than an HID setup would.
you can get something cheaper than a digi if ya wanted to.. these strips are great to check it with... plus it makes it very easy to check the run off.
I think i got them at a lab safety supply place... you can also get them from places like mcmaster carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#ph-testers/=c6wf0a or other supply houses like that.
