been following this thread since it started...all good stuff! I am getting ready to start my first AF grow. I was wondering if I could start my beans under a 125 CFL for the first 2 weeks then put them under 400 watt HPS or CMH for the rest of the grow?? Will it stunt them? I am growing in a bubbler system. Will 400 watts be enough light for 4-6 babies?
Yeah thats plenty of light for the first two weeks or so. I don't even use that much light till about week two seedling stage, as I call it (2nd week after sprouts break soil).
Till then I just use two 2ft, 40w t12 fluorescents.

Lol read kulongs smoke review on snowryder. 25g dry after some test smokes. And that was with the one light. So this is possible. Just hope i get something near that with a current mix of spectrums at 200watt of cfl's

I seriously don't understand? He calling me a liar?

Ok...

Everyone's entitled to their opinion I guess. :|
It was a joke. I assumed you were being sarcastic (not lying). Seriously if you managed to get an oz with an 85watt CFL I'm seriously impressed and utterly astounded. Do you have a journal for this? Details... gimme, gimme.

No offense ever intended :-)

I just read your grow journal. 6500k too and in a small pot. Amazing. Maybe it's the SR genetics and/or your magical organic soil mix. Well done.

Or maybe I just keep it simple. ;)

C'mon.... what's in it? Dish the secret. Granny's wee? Crushed unicorn horn?

I've been cultivating my garden compost for about a year now (yes.... I've been pissing in it occasionally too). Should be able to use it for a grow if I take the rich stuff out of the bottom of the bin and mix it into some soil. Maybe a test. Grow one of my 7 Poison Dwarfs in it and the rest using my usual Hesi nute regime

A shot of my single Autoflower set up.

My motto has always been, "one light, one ounce".

That's my 85w CFL 2700k spectrum for flowering.

I gave her some seaweed today mixed in her water. I love how the grow room smells like the ocean once I feed her seaweed.

I bought a new stand because it is getting hotter and my other stand is smaller. You can see its only 82f which is ideal conditions for me.

That is a smart pot this time for fun. Had a big one laying around.

She has a cool breeze blowing on her coming from a fan that is placed a ways off to her right.

She is 29 days old here and standing a foot tall.

Ah... so you do switch to 2700k? Must have missed that in your journal.

What brand of seaweed do you use? My mate's wife, who's Korean, sometimes feeds us these dried green seaweed sheets (very tasty by the way - melts in the mouth). She buys them in the Korean food shop. Do you think I could use these?

I always have mentioned that I switch from 6500/6400k to 2700k. Though I always stick with just one light per plant.

In my signature you will see a "Dried Seaweed Guide" link. That will tell you everything about what I use. I have no idea why you don't look at my links. :|

With that said, I wouldn't use "sushi seaweed" for fertilizer. Besides, those "seaweed strips" are more expensive than a kilo of dried seaweed.

What you linked is nothing like what I use.

I use 海藻粉 (seaweed powder) that is locally processed and dried here. 100% organic.

You can get dried seaweed anywhere. Check Ebay.
