Drying a Cutting before Harvest?

Hi guys

I have cut a nice little bit of bud from my plant, its got a few days left in flush before I harvest. I figured if I dry this out now I can be smoking it when on the labour intensive job of trimming it all, I know its going to take me ages.

Ive hung the cutting inside a sealed cardboard box, and put it in a place which will stay dark all day and remain room temp. Will this be sufficient? I dont expect the best smoke at that point because it wont have been cured but as long as it dry's ok for me to roll a fatty

you want a bit of ventilation get a fan in there just to circulate the air and you should be fine get yourself a vape and you can quick dry it thats what I do

I didnt even imagine quick drying with vape but now you mention it that is a decent idea, its gotta taste better than microwave - I hated it on my last grow when I used microwave, it tasted shit and I got no real hit.

Thats the thing... because my grow is still on the go, my fan is in use in the grow room so i cant put one near the cutting... im just guna have to check it each day and give it a bit of air i think.

When id taken the cutting i noticed a lot more how crystal covered the bud is, I cant wait for my cutting never mind the rest of the plant

Its unusual to see blunts in uk, or at least ive not came across many (as I see its your profile pic), dya know of any places you can get flavourless blunts? I cant do with these fucking flavoured blunts, why the fuck go to the effort of making differest tasting weed if your guna then mask it like that.

The best smoke ive had is with aleda see through paper.

A lot of people will quick dry a sample bud by simply putting it in the microwave.

I don't even dry some test buds. I just put it into a vapor bro's vaporizer. It smokes pretty much like dry bud but with less smoke/vapor. After a few hits the bud dries out.

Yeah there's no way im puttin my bud in the microwave, I do learn from my mistakes! It feels liike a crime as you get a nasty taste and very little high, the high only lasts a few mins if it isnt even a placebo effect. Would try the vape idea but ive not got one. Im off to amsterdam in a month or so and plan to test a volcano out then - see if they're worth all the hype n all.

Don't quick dry in a microwave, it sucks. I use my oven at a very low temp and it dies them slowly, then I throw the nugs in the freezer to harden them up. Vape is the way to go for quick drying but I've loaded bongs and rolled joints with them, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do...

Not the best tasting either way but it works. I hate trimming so if I didn't ave any meds I'd do a quick dry from some lower popcorn buds and medicate during harvest.

I have a volcano. Its a really good vape and you can make the bags as big as you want. I dont use it much it takes a few minutes to set up and heat up. I prefer a quick bong rip over anything.

alright fella I love blunts but hate flavoured ones, I agree whats the point in going through all that effort when it just tastes like shit lol I hollow out a cigar then fill it with weed thats my favourite way to make a blunt I've got the Extreme Q vapourizer and my mates got the volcano and we both agree the Extreme Q is better because not only do you get both bag and whip but it tastes better with the extreme Q and it £100 cheaper then the volcano I'm planing on buying a portable vape soon not sure which to buy though one of my mates has the magic flight but its broken on him already and theres a few other problems with it

I enjoy a berry flavored blunt wrap if I am smoking a berry type strain. Just like in America we dont like putting tobacco in our joints every time I smoke with a European they always have a joint with 50/50 cannabis/tobacco and a filter on the end.

a good way to do a decent quick dry is to take the nugs you cut if small enough and put them in a paper towel wrapped up and set it on your magnetic ballast, if you have one, i have also done this with my t5 6 bulb which emits a decent amount of heat. they still wont taste premo but will taste better than a micro dry lol.

its not a filter its called a roch and its just as rolled up peice of card its the UK, european & canadian way to use tabacco. I used to smoke like that but I quit smoking and bought a vapourizer we call a spliff without tobacco a pure joint & then a blunt is with a cigar
