Dogs vs. Cats...

interesting question. ive never really wondered WHY one decides either cats or dogs. a lot of people choose both, but usually there is a preference. possibly because they had one or the other as a child, or some kind of experience with one made them prefer that. also could be the personality difference between the two. other than that, no clue lol

I like both. IMO, which is better really depends on the owner. Primarily, I had dogs as a kid and trained them for years. Now I have two dogs, and a cat who thinks she's a dog. But I don't consider myself a cat person, just an animal person. The last time I had my parents pet-sit, the cat actually had their dog afraid to be in the same room with her. It was just hysterical to watch this nine pound cat chase an 85lb German Shepherd (who's a seriously bad-ass protection dog) out of the room. If she ever caught him, I think she'd fuck him up (well, try to anyway) . I like dogs best though, they're awesome. So are some cats (but they're the exception). Also, one of my friends thinks that her dog judges her every time she smokes weed...

Yeah, my dad's dog was a schutzhund dog (it's like a dog triathalon of obedience-tracking-protection), but he was only ever really good at the protection part. It's a pretty awesome sport, but knowing just how good a dog's nose can be makes me really paranoid about narco dogs, cause even the worlds best carbon scrubber won't be enough. I've seen dogs mistakenly follow tracks (just where someone walked through a field in a specific pattern, wearing clean rubber boots) that were from the previous week's training session. Scary.

Malinois are pretty funny, they're like little german shepherds on crack. They make killer obedience dogs, but I always thought they were a little light for serious protection work. Like I've seen GSD's knock helpers (the guys wearing the bite sleeves) on their asses I don't know how many times, but I've never once seen a malinois do it. Dutch Shepherds are pretty awesome too, but if you compete you have to enter them as a mixed breed (since they're not AKC registered). German Shepherds were always my pick though. I wish I still had the time to train, my dog always loved it.

Yea they do kind alook like Sheps...but smaller and more cut..his was dark brown with a short coat and all ripped up with muscles....yeah he was funny but scary all the same when the dude wasnt around i knew that dog would kill me lol

I like GSD a alot more.....if i ever have the room id like to grab a Czech bred dog. You can see the diff in type , no show dogs in that bloodline.

Ive only seen a Dutch Shep online..never in person but they look pretty tight..they come in brindle to so they look a lil more diff.

ive got a badass cat. shes really furry and loves to be pet really hard. ive had her back at a 45 degree angle petting her very harshly and she just loves it haha. shes always meowing at me and walking in circles with her tail up when i come around. she is what got me into cats. also i think her fur is beautiful. the other black cat is a dick haha
i used to be a dog person before i moved here. my stepdad had a pit bull that i totally loved. now i like both. theres bad animals in both dogs and cats, u just gotta find one that fits ur personality.

the second pic is here rubbin her chin in cat nip. the whole floor was wet with saliva after that

If the humans can understand the mind of a cat like they do with the dogs, cats can be usefull to alot of stuff like really. I choose both, but a cat can be helpful, if train like a dog a cat can climp up stuff and if trained good, he can go get something for u n bring it back, people wont pay much attention and hit a cat,but if u see a dog its like seeing a black man in a kkk club they will beat him n kill him, instead of the cat being a white man, invisible....

The dogs nose is amazing! It's pretty neat how much they help out.

True, some cats are cool. I met some cats that like to act like dogs, I like those cats. I had a dog a long time ago & EVERY time anyone would hit the bong he would whine, look worried & walk in circles around us. Maybe he was judging us too, our being a puss.
