Can I Dig a Seed Up with Damaging it?

Should i turn the lights on tho? Someone recommended to keep the lights off so the soil stays moist. Or should i just keep them off till they pop through.

Sorry for all these questions... I'm just so anxious about this lol.

In the future, you will place the seed approx 1/4" into the slightly moistened medium.........Right?
Good luck & good grow.......BB

I would keep them off till they pop through. How many days has it been since you planted the seeds?

I definitely will..... Learn from mistakes.

And jesco, i planted them about 2 days ago, started germinating them on the 9th. They took around 24 hours to pop.

Yeah two days is nothing idk why you panicked! Lol, I would start to worry only if they don't pop up within the next few days.

I started seed sin 5 gallon buckets bad mistake, can i take them out and put them into small cups? Without damaging it i meant...

You can dig it up and move it. Water the plant before you dig and put into moist new medium, trying not to disturb the root mass at all if possible. Then water in so the roots have good contact with wet medium. Depending on how much top growth there is you may experience some wilting, yellowing and mb some leaves will die. No problem. Hey don't fert either till the plant has had time to make the adjustment. The reason for this is that although there ARE roots, it is the very fine root hairs that haven't developed yet that actually take in water and nutes, and they will be damaged in the move. They will develop in a week or so. In some instances you have to trim some leaves to conserve moisture. Remember you're trying to keep a balance between top growth and root growth. When u dig her up u shock her a little, tearing some roots unintentionally. And pruning top growth puts less stress on her to keep all that top growth hydrated. Hope that helps. Gmz, you need to relax and let mother nature do her thing.:eyesmoke:

In the future soak your seeds for 24 to 48 hrs in a warm place around 80 t0 85 degrees.

Then gently place them around 1/4 to 1/2 inch in premoistened soil, I like useing 1 1/2 inch peat pots.

Keep the soil moist till they pop. Light is very important at the seedling stage, I use flourescent lights at about 2 inches from the plant.
When they get about 1 inch tall transplant into a larger cup or directly into your finishing pot. I use 20 oz party cups as I will be transplanting outside.
The party cups i poke holes around the base for drainage.
After they get growing good, I use a flat with no holes and water from the bottom side, works great plant only takes up what it needs.

Hope this helps and just relax and let mother nature do the work for you.
There is alot of stressful times ahead as a grower, so you need to settle a bit or you will go insane in the membrane.:wall::wall::wall:

No worry she will make it, they come up yellow if they have been in the ground too long. Main reason being planted too deep or in your case the root had to reset its push power again.

Get your lights on her right away and the cotolydens will green up right away.

Good Luck and let me know how it is going.
