i have a 2 and a half week out plant and its not doing to good..but i am switching it to a hydro set up tomorrow or i might just start a new in the hydro but i was wonder if 2 light bubls will be good until i save up enough to buy a HPS light system the combine watts is roughly off the top of my head the equilivant to about 95 watts incodensenct..and where is a place to buy a HPS light system with cost in mind

Depends how long you need to save up for the hps. So the cfls are prolly 2 23 watt cfls..the plant could def. use more- but could survive off it...

HTG on Ebay has the best hps prices you'll find.

not regular (incandescent) bulbs! they must be CFL's! regular ones don't have the right spectrum and get way too hot

So your just 'switching' over to hydro tommorrow eh? just like that "hey Im trading my truck in for a car" simple right? Wrong bro...before you switch to hydro know what your doing otherwise you might as well take those scissors in your bathroom that you use for trimming your pubes and cut the top of your plant off about midway down the stem. Be done with it.

seriously though for your own sake learn all you can about hydroponics before jumping into it otherwise your just shooting yourself in the foot and by the sounds of it you havent even got your lighting down yet....just some food for thought.

If its not doing so good I wouldnt flip its environment on it like that....why isnt it doing so good? If you want to begin your experimentation of hydroponics (I have the greenest thumb on my block and Im a soil junky) I would start with a new crop. If you dont have any experience growing any kind of plant and this is your first time ever grow I would save my money and kill a few in soil. My plant is bushy and healthy as hell on my first grow but I have many indoor and outdoor plants that I care for and a lot of plant growing and killing experience. You can take your research and start hydro but then your going to annoy the hell out of people picking their brain over trial and error things for your system....slow down put your money in lights, play with dirt, and if your set on hydro then start new....

but you really gotta work on your lighting...getting that hydro system is fine in all but if your lights are new thats like have some killa fireass smoke a new glass bong and no lighter...
