DS90 Grow Tent Temperature Help!

Hi guys, iv just relocated my plant to this DS90 tent set up i put together this weekend but i cant seem to get the temps down any lower than 34c!! the set up is as followed.

90x90x160 tent.
400w maxibright light
4" TT inline extractor fan extracting to the loft
4" shower extract being used as the intake, and the intake is being draw from just out side the tent (my bedroom).
1 7" circulating fan pointing towards the light.

i have the fans on opposite sides aswell, maybe the intake fan isn't big enough or maybe the air isnt cool enough. what do you guys think?

Also i cant seem to raise the humidity above 27% any ideas?

You are over working your 4" inline fan. Your space is approximately 748 cu/ft so I am thinking you need around a 12" inline fan for that space. Wait for more advice tho on that.

You can raise your humidity by placing a bowl of water in your grow space.

I use a tent and summer being a time that temps are a prob...I get my intake fresh air from my crawl space...exhaust warm to a flue.....I divert part of a floor AC register to my tent also which is working quite well....Your "inline" aren't gonna deliver enough ventilation IMO....I use 2 4" centri fans on speed controls for my intake and exhaust...works very well even without the diverted ac.....

hey how much power is in your fan Oldreefer ?, I´m gone try to vent a 120x120x150 tent and then 120x120x60 tent with one fan intake and one fan out take

What are the temps in your bedroom? Where is your bedroom getting make up air from?
Is your light cooled?
I'm assuming you are talking cm here?! If so you are dealing with about 50 cubic feet of space. Your 4" extraction fan will be fine as long as you vent though your light. In your situation ambient temperature of your bedroom is going to determine the temperature drop you can achieve in your grow tent.
What's a 'shower extract'?
If you want to get the humidity up you need to raise humidity in your bedroom i.e. humidifier. unless you can cramp a small one into your grow tent. Humidity will come up on its own once you have some vegetation in your grow space.

He must be talking cm not inches, otherwise he would have a 7.5x7.5x13 grow space, kind of an odd shape lol.

Yeah weird size, what about the lamp? is it air cooled ?

Im going for the same size tent and would not do it with out an Cool tube

Not to big of a light, room temperature outside the tent is probable the biggest problem
Sucking in the same heat as your blowing out, Unity smells like a pro ;D

How much problem would it be to fit a small air controller, like those you have on camping vans and just dial in hum and heat ?
Gone cost money but gone be worth it :)

shut the fuck up bro. You haven't got a clue, this statement only verifies that for us. FYI you should head on over to general mj growing and beginners guide. Also, check out the thread on lighting solutions. This way next time you try and donate your .02 it might actually be worth just that. We have enough people giving out wrong info on here, should you feel the need to continue to do so, this might not be the forum that best suits you.

I have a 400 now and its about the same size grow room as yours. I run EXACTLY 11f hotter than ambient temp at all times except during lights out then it usually makes it down to within 4-5 degrees. You're gonna need more fan power. What unity said is quite plausible. If you keep room temp cool and all that you might achieve it, but not with them fans. You're talking like a bathroom exhaust fan. Not gonna cut it. I have a hellacious fan for intake and the same for exhaust and I still compete with the heat. You mentioned getting an ac. Which is a great idea, if I were you and not worried about more of an electric bill I would do the same but I'm planning on moving here within the next couple wks. jun 1st so i aint gonna waste that kind of money. My alternative is going to be to get co2 and inject it in. The intial startup cost will be about the same as a portable ac unit *good one* but I wont have to take the hit on the bill every month. Might be something for you to check into. Then you might get away with the fans you got now and save that money too. Perhaps you could put together a veg room with all that savings? :) either that or put some homemade co2 gens together and your temp with be right without any headache.
