Fastest Way to Try Diferent Strains?

Im not sure what i want to try for my next grow... i got 4 different sets of fem. seeds and i was thinking i may try one of each to be able to sample the effects of each.

The only yield i care about is getting 1 good bud from each sample to test with.

What is the fastest i could put a seedling to flower and the fastest i could harvest to get a good idea what each strain was like? They are NOT autoflower seeds.

thanks ;)

also tho i was wondering how long do you have to let a bud mature before getting a good indication on what the different highs are like?

If you have a loup you can look at the trichomes, and if you see a lot of milky/cloudy then it's pretty damn close to being done. Most strains turn amber colored when they are ready, but you would want to cut when you saw mostly cloudy and a little bit of amber.
If you DON'T have a loup, then you can tell pretty well by the bud itself. It really swells up in the last week or two; the hairs turn brown or red, and the leaves around the buds start to yellow and die. As long as the hairs are mostly colored, and the leaves are looking sad, you are in the "done" zone.
Still, I would recommend getting a loup! Takes a lot of the guessing out of it!

yes, i understand when something is optimally "done"... are you saying you wont get any indication of the different types of highs if you harvest extremely early?

It depends on HOW early....I can tell you the we just harvested a couple of plants probably a week or two early (ran out of smoke!) and it gets us nice and high....the only thing we notice is that the buds aren't as plumped as they could have been and the taste isn't as good as it could have been, but all around it still gets us nice and high! If you're just trying to test which one is better, than you will definitely be able to tell if you harvest early, just keep in mind that whichever one is strongest will likely be even stronger when grown full cycle!
