K here we use this stuff to help our compost piles decompose and to help steer manure breakdown after its been added to the farm soil, i would like to know if any one here has ever used it while growing indoor MJ, its made of lactic and phototroph bacteria and some brands come with yeast and there in a molasses mix , i would like to know if i could use it for my grow since am all organic
it does alot of other things too in fact on wiki they say they have special brews that eat oil in oil spills n shit

I use it for my grow, my veggie garden, and for my worm bin.

Not so much the EM by itself, but for fermenting meals and such to use for nutes or worm food.

Good stuff!!!!

do you think it would help if i mixed it in the water to water my plants to help the compost/manure to decompose

IDK to be honest. I've never used it like that, applying it directly. It's always been sorta secondhand, like the bacteria in my EWC from feeding them bokashi bran and the like.

Add a bit along with some molasses and try it on one plant? Again, IDK, but others here use it also and may have done just this.

Yes that’s the whole point of using EM-1....the microbes will breakdown the compost/manure...What’s left behind from the microbes after they consume the organic matter are essential elements that your plants needs to produce glorious flowers. EM-1 also happens to be an excellent additive for compost teas.

That shits expensive isnt it?
Not really.

The concentrate (EM-1), can be expanded (AEM, Activated Effective Microorganisms), at about 1oz of concentrate making about 1qt of AEM. So, a 1qt bottle of EM-1 will make about 8 gallons of AEM.

at the farm we nix the one container into a 20litter container 1/4 of the mixture is molasses and u can just keep multiplying them

Don't know about the EM=1, but compare the ingredients to "Thrive", see usethrive.com and let us know, also compare prices. I use Thrive. Always use molesses & liquid seaweed for growing & composting.

It seems it would be most efficient to use for making compost teas, as others have said, so that you can multiply their populations and make the most of it.

I'm sorry. Let me explain as I have been taught. All growing hinges upon one thing. This one thing has exceptions, due to man playing God... IE: Indoor growing, Hydro, man- made chems, the list don't end. But in the 8 million year old tried & proven method, the main focus is only on one thing, the ability for young "Little Teeth" rooting system to absorb all that the plant desires when that plant is in need of such. Not a whole fish buried in the planting area, or concentrated meth, nitrate, super-dupper, miracle on a shelf shelf shit. All this advertized stuff kills the mocrobes ,fungi, bacteria & other species that work, for free, to add oxygen, loosen the soil & break down/chew up big chunks of needed matter that would normally choke and cause seizures. When this happens; statements are made- My Baby looks ill, what should I do. I shot Her up with Meth, Herion & Asprin, and for a day, she looked so wonderful. For once, why don't we give the Lady what She needs, when She needs it, and in the form that She can ingest it. Other than that, She will never be what Her full potential can be..... So, we need to break down all the trace minerials, elements, major & minor nutes, and assure that the temp, humidity, sunlight & wind is all allowed to afford what the Lady wants. Molasses acelerates the breakdown, bite-size process, which is caused by the molasses being a feeding Buffet to micrrobes, that causes extreme breeding, multiplying the water retention, oxygen, bite size intake for the Fungi & Bacteria. Molasses feeds the Microbes. Compost Tea takes 1 million microbes, giving them feed-molasses & oyxgen, causes them to multipy within 48 hours, to 100 million. Your soil will be teaming with life. Thrive introduces 1,000's of different fungi & bacteria into your soil that breaks down further, the spent remains of the microbial work, to soon feed the Baby, in a very balanced, and consecitive, constant manner. That is the goal, the key. If you can double the root system by making it seek further from the stalk, if you can give the Bitch what She needs, when She requires it, in the form that is readily absorbed, you can't help but make a regular 2 Lb. Yield Lady into a 5 Lb. Fat Bottomed Girl. Hope this helped.

Um, yeah. I understand all of that perfectly well, I'm talking about the efficient use of that specific product only as being used as a part of a compost tea base, thus multiplying that particular beneficial organism so that you can make the concentrate last longer. That's all. I'm very much in tune to how the soil food web functions.

well since i do organic soil ( i make it with out compost pile, seed meal and manures) using this directly ( or diluted one container to 20lt ) in to the soil the soil seems more airy and does not compact like the red soil here usually does when potted
