probably not, from my experience with skunk #1 femd, they hermi'd and started showing signs about half way thru flowering. Your in cali right?

LUCKY YOU..shiiiiiit can't you just go buy a some cuttings? Saves alot of time.. But I would grow them out and worry about it IF it happens, no one can be 100% sure they will hermi

From my experience hermies show themselves usually around week 4 or 5 on 8 week strains. I personally don't mess with feminized seeds because of the tendencies to hermie but u may b lucky and just have a sick cross of grape ape and some mystery bud from some male pollen that got loose in some ones grow that's the thing with bag seed u never know what the deal is. I'd just like to also say if it is seeds from a plant that hermed it's just as good as any feminized seeds from attitude or nirvana or wherever and the chances of being female r just as good . All feminized seeds are produced the same way by stressing a female to seed whether it's natural stress, extended weeks on the flower period ,or adding the silver it's all gonna give u chances of hermies just watch those bastards like a hawk an b prepared to kick any dirty lil trannies out of the garden u find which is hard to do cu they usually seem to b budding really nicely. But then they pollinate themselves and bud production slows and seed production goes crazy. Unless of course u like or want seeds.

can't you make female seeds by taking the banana leaf off the same plant and use that pollen.. I think I read an article and that's how SOMA does it

@max yea i did with all my other babies, if you look up on this thread i posted some recent pics and those were all clones, i just decided to try out these seeds that i had to get the idea of a full grow cycle, which is probably something i wont be doing often cuz clones around here are 10 dollars, clones are so easily accesible around here i could go to a collective spend 40 bucks on a clone of the 2011 cup winning strain... i love cali lol

@weeds thanks for the insight when do the plants start to pollenate? when does the risk or chance of a hermie or male plant pollenating my females come in? and if it does come out to be a hermie (cross our fingers its not) could i just transfer it outside? or will i still run the risk of getting pollen inside my closet???

you wont know until later in flower...that is assuming once you can tell sex that it doesnt show then. Sure you can pop it outside, if its too early in the year it may go back to vegging though, you also run the risk of pollinating someone else's outdoor crop keep in mind.

well 40 for a top notch strain like the shit you see in the magazines, or the barneys farm, or sub cool strains, i got my clones for 10 each =) and let me tell youuuu buddy roadkill was my trouble child and woooooooooo the smell coming off of her already is delicious and she isnt even in flower cycle yet ~~~~c(= cant wait

@lamb i highly doubt anyone would be growin a plant outside around here southern cali weather is crazy we r raining today and tomorrow is hot as hell, like the say if you dont like the weather in cali wait a couple days lol, and plus some lil stoner kid will come and jack you take it home and have no idea wat to do with it

As soon as they show the bananas or " balls open is when Ur at risk o pollination. When u take the pollen from the bananas and put it on a nug(pistils actually) of another plant that will make the other plant start to produce so called "feminized seeds". U can collect the pollen and put it on the pistils of a random female strain and create your own "feminized" cross breed.

Lamb of god is absolutely correct about putting plants out side most plants that grow outdoors need to b harvested around Octoberish because of the way days are shorter a few months before which simulates the 12 12 light cycle and makes the plant go to the flower cycle. If u live in the northern hemisphere u could put it outside now and reveg it till the day light gets shorter right now is veg season out doors. Also risky but possible u could pull off all male parts as they show before balls burst and pollination occurs but it's not really IMO worth the risk of ruining a sensi crop. Lol about pollinating other peoples plants hopefully Ur neighbor isn't growing out doors then. lamb Ur 1 considerate person for taking that factor into affect. Also if pollen is stirring around your grow I heard in interesting thing that many people say works is giving your plants a very frequent ice water spray down to make pollin unviable also theres a product called reverse at your local hydro shop.

If a dispensary was selling 40 dollar clones I would never go back canna cup winners or not the clubs by these clones anywhere from 4$ to 10 a piece in my experience no club I've heard of pays more the average the dispensaries pay per clone in Vegas where the dispensaries aren't even technically legal I may add is 7$ they sell em for 15 usually

im not 100% sure on the science of it all on making fem seeds

but as far as just taking the banana leaf ( im assuming you mean from a hermi plant ) to pollinate a female you will just get seeds that have very strong hermi traits and more then likely will hermi themselves

i think its cool that females are into growing

my fiance does not know how to grow but when she sees me messing with them , taking a cutting , lsting , ect

she is right their with total curiosity wondering what im doing and the reasoning for it and all ,

she is just trying to get an understanding on how it all works ,

its all good

i might need her to look after my babies one day
