Super Skunk HPS Grow

Ok so I've recently come across some new lights and I was wondering if i'll have enough wattage for 2 indica dominant Sensi seed limited edition super skunk plants.

The lights I have :blsmoke: -
1x 150 Watt HPS
1x 70 Watt HPS
1x 150 Watt Metal halide.
I plan on switching to these lights when I make the change to 12/12 (plants are currently under CFLS). Will useing the Metal halide and the HPS together provide a good mixxed spectrum for flowering plants? Are there any precautions I should take for my plants when switching from CFLS to these larger lights?

great thanks for responding, how difficult will it be to control temps when useing the 3 bulbs? i currently only have 3 computer fans (2 exhaust 1 intake) + a fan blowing neutrally inside the grow room.

Sound like you'll have enough to do some good.....controlling temps will be of utmost priority now, computer fans are not going to be enough...Good karma to ya grow...

Hey thanks i'm quite worried about the temps problem, need to think of some way to control it before I change to 12/12 .. plants are only about a week old still and I plan to veg them for a while just under CFLS or maybe even a metal halide ? (I've heard they're good for veg?)
Anyway always had a bit of trouble controlling temp and this will be my first grow useing something other than CFLS when I swap to flower . Plenty of research to be done still!

Yes, controlling your temps will be an issue but do-able IMO....I use 2 4" centrifugal fans...one exhaust and one intake...even tho I use a cooltube, I still have to blow intake air from a cool crawlspace onto the tube but it does fine even in summer temps....Yes, metal halide is a good veg light, temps considered also....I veg for 4 weeks with T5 then switch to hps for finishing....I run my hps at nights so better handle heat without ducting an ac register into the tent....

BTW...be sure to have a bit of height available for you SS grow as it will def show it's sativa heritage and give ya some height along with the bushy of an indica. SS is a great hybrid and harvested correctly and timely will yeild some really good effects of both....Skunk strains are one of my fav...

yep heat is the biggest issue with all those lights. maybe just get one 400 watt HPS and vent it out via a fan/charcan (if needed). keep it around 80 light time, 65 or so dark period.

ok so im going to be useing a 400w hps instead ! it came with a 120mmx 120 mm fan but ill assume ill still need centrefugal fans with ducting to extract and bring in clean air?
also the plants are about 2 and a half weeks old and ill be putting them under my HPS around the 1 month mark. will the super skunks be able to handle the transition from CFLS easily?
