How's My Grow Box

Hello folks it's time for me to get started with this growing shit I'll be growing one plant at a time because i'm not sure if my box would fit more than one
the box is:
17inch height
24inch length
19inch width
i have 4x 26w 6500k and 8x 23w 2700k cfl lights
i'll be using 4x 26w 6500k mix with 2x 23w 2700k so that's 150w for veg
then 8x 23w 2700k for flower 184w

seeds i have:
Mazar x Great White Shark
New York 47
Afghan Kush Ryder
Moby Dick

i don't know which strain i should start first but i'm thinking of doing Afghan Kush Ryder since it's an autoflower and time harvest is shorter so...

any comments are welcome and advices are definitely needed :blsmoke:

That MIGHT be enough vertical height for the Kush Ryder, but not for any of those other strains. you could probably veg in that box, but attempting to flower in there will be quite the FAIL.

well aren't there other ways like LST and topping to make the plant short? oh and the top part of the box is moveable so i can move the lights higher if i want to

you can easily do a micro grow in their , lsting the shit out of it

and that fan you have in their is not doing you any good

all it is doing is just circulating the air , its not really cooling it

you should try to cut you out an exhaust for that hot air to escape out of

let your fan blow out the box through the exhaust you cut out

yeah i was thinking about the exhaust thing too but i'm not sure how to do it...so if i want to exhaust the hot air out i let the fan (CPU 120mm) blow out of the box instead of blowing in?
do i need another CPU fan to blow the air in or i'm good with just that little red fan sitting there?

Having an intake is fine but it is not really necessary

Just an exhaust is perfectly fine , you always want more air going out then coming in , that's why im saying that intake is not really necessary

Since your cab is a cardboard box you can just take a pair of good scissors or a box cutter to cut your hole

use like a black marker and draw or trace a circle the size of the fan ( the rim part only ) you dont want your fan falling through lol

maybe you can find a cup or something that is the same diameter as the fan that fits over the fan right on the rim , and use that to trace you a circle then cut it out

you can take a nail and make little holes around the exhaust and use zip ties or bread ties to hold the fan against your exhaust hole

or just whatever you can use to hold your fan in place

are you talking about the little red fan i have? if you are where should i put it..on top of the box or sideway
i was thinking about doing 120mm fan for exhaust and just let the little red fan sit in there or maybe ima buy another red fan since it costs cheaper than the 120mm fan :D

yea im talking about the red fan

put it where you got the red circle on the side but maybe closer to the corner though

you can leave the little red fan in their if you want but like i said before its only circulating the air not really cooling it

just make sure that your 120mm fan your talking about is blowing out more air then what the red fan is blowing

like i said

your exhaust needs to have more air going out then what is coming in

but you will be fine with just the exhaust with that box

Good luck my man

read this

even though you got that little cab

the same principle applies

COMPARISON OF CABINET DESIGNS

1. Simple Cab - one chamber, no scrubbers or restrictions to airflow.

CFM = 3.16*Watts/deltaT
where deltaT = 10 *F

Intake Area = 2 x Exhaust Area
Fans - Axial/Computer Fans due to minimal pressure loss

Example: A 400 W HPS in a 3 x 3 x 4 cabinet needs 126 CFM of cooling for a 10*F temp rise above room temperature.
The 36 cuft cabinet is ventilated at over 3 ACpM.

Pro:
Easy to build
Fans - axial

Con:
plants stink up the place
plants are stressed by too much airflow where 5 Minutes between Air Changes is all that is needed.
