Pot Size. Help Needed

height is an issue for my setup,
how low a pot can i go ??
will have no bother keeping em down once growing but will a short wide tray work for soil?
will the roots spread well or will it hinder growth?

I have an 80cm high setup top t bottom with the lights taking up the top 15 cm.CFL

My NFT might b taking up too much height i reckon for my growth so was thinkin bout the trays for soil.
Any1 had to do this before?

You can grow in a wide but shallow pot, volume trumping height, but without depth you will need to support the eventual weight and height of the plant

If height is a serious issue check out the ScrOG technique. I use it even when height isn't an issue to get more light to all of the buds

what do you mean by 'volume trumping height' im running a bit slow tday.
support should be alright as im gna run all stems thru a solid mesh for flowering.

Is SCROG what you have posted up as your pic?
ie.letting it veg up thru that mesh then trim back everything under the canopy?
