Using Soil and Nutrients

#1 - I bought Humboldt Organic Natural Grow (3-1-3) and Natural Bloom (0-10-0); I'm wondering what type of soil or blend would work best with these nutrients..

#2 - I've read that Ocean Forest Organic Potting Soil is ideal, BUT... would adding these Humboldt nutrients to this particular soil be too much for the plants?

The strain I went with is BC Sweet God
Any tips for growing in soil would be much appreciated!

The vegetive stage your plants will need mostly nitrogen. The soil you have is 3-0-3; that's 30% nitrogen, 0% Phosphorous, and 30% potassium. It should last several weeks or more depending on the size of your container. How long do you plan on keeping your plant in it's vegetive stage? If its an indoor grow, look at adding some Worm tea or liquid fish emulsions after the first month. For outside I would stick with the dry fertilizer. Save your Natural Bloom for the flower stage, as that's when your plant will start needing phosphorous.

I'm feeding my plants Alaska Fish Emulsions that I picked up at the local Home Depot; it's 5-1-1. I like organic because its easy and safe, but the chemical stuff is just as good. Just pay attention to the ratios (NPK) and start a 1/4 strength at first, then work your way up. Don't over think the soil. Stick with what you got and add nutrients as needed.

I use ocean forest in my mother's pots and i have had good results. i have also flowered with it and had excellent results. Zero issues. Would something else had been better? no way of knowing without doing a side by side. no it will not be too much for your plants, just feed 'em real light at first and slowly increase the amount of nutes you feed.

45-50 days.

Just pay attention to the ratios (NPK) and start a 1/4 strength at first, then work your way up. Don't over think the soil. Stick with what you got and add nutrients as needed.

I'm not sure if I should follow Humboldt's feeding chart because of the richness of the soil. I think I'm going to treat the soil just as it is (SOIL) and follow the chart.. I just wanted to know if adding what I have to the soil I get would burn out the plant.

i heard that ocean forest is mass produced which really dilutes the good stuff they add to it.

i've used just ocean forest in the past, and i even mix ocean forest with roots organic this year but i get the best results by far with using just roots organic.
