10/14 Light/Dark Schedule

Is using a 10/14 light/dark schedule good for flowering?

12/12 is much more ideal. You get 2 more hours of light without stress on the plants. What is the theory behind the 10/14?

I dont know, I just thought that would help the plant flower faster. Hopefully it will be good for the plant. cuz ive heard of people going a full 36hrs before chop down, so I figured a 10/14 schedule would be a bit better

Well the plant does different things during the day and night. You will probably get taller plants with 10/14 because the plants will grow more at night to try and get closer to your lights, that way to can try to absorb more light before it gets dark again. The less light hours you have the more they are gonna stretch.

Leaving your plants in darkness for a couple days before harvesting is because the plants build resin during the night hours. It also builds resin due to stress. So if you turn off the lights and leave them off it stresses the plant, making it produce lots of resin; and since your harvesting who cares if you stress it out?

Great answer bro, thanks! That does make a lot of senses. I lst'd and I got 6 colas only, so hopefully they stretch to a really good height.

The tallest cola right now are two giants' to be, they are 10inches right now and they are barely 1 week into the light switch. How much more growth will occur?
