i have a medical plant that says it takes 120 days in flowering
its been flowering for 4 weeks now and the only bit of bud development is in the middle of the plant noothing at all on the tops
now the plant is also so big that a few of the tops are dried which im asssuming that their burnt cause its so big that it was close to my 600w hps light
now am i not getting development on the tops cause of it taking so long to flower or is the burning affect doing something to them?
i will be moving the light more to the side tomm
i will be posting pics tomm but any help would be great

are you running 12 on 12 off cycle ? if so good, also when its the dark period do you have any light getting to the plants ? just make sure its completey dark. And you should have the light 18" - 24" away from the plants, otherwise it will burn the leaves.

the plants so big all the water nutrients etc are feeding the plant stem foilage etc, not the flowers, a good size plant with lots of yield is about 3 feet tall, if you plant it outside in the garden cover it in lights put a fairy on top and some decorations the neighbours will think its a fucking christmas tree its so tall.

frmrboi has the best suggestion i think. in particular tying that b word down, and top light it...it will also allow your side shoots to grow a bit

but what about the top leaves that are kinda burnt are they done? oe can i revive them? is that the reason the buds are not forming or is it cause it takes so long to flower??
its on 12/12 and no light gets in during the off light period

Theres a technique known as bending that could help maybe. if u cut the very top itll stop growing forsure its called the FIM technique. I picked up that marijuana horticulture book by jorge cervantes and its very comprehensive. but maybe god wants you to have a behemoth in which case I'd take off half of my reflector and put the plant on thatside

can anyone tell me whats the worst case scenerio with this plant cause the four or five tops that i have on it are looking more raggety by the day
do you think their done? and if so what will happen with those and everything else?
like i said im getting more bud development under the four or five tops
i just dont want to cut them unless their gonna ruin other part of the plant

yes i have bloom formula im using
so ill cut the tops i guess :( this is my first grow so i dont know the answer to this question but do you think i lost a lot of bud development on the tops?
cause i know the tops of plants are the colas and from what i have seen the colas have some great buds on them

this is probably the worst statement i've read here. you sir need to go back and read that book again and try not to by so blazed when you do, cause your info is all wrong

if the tops are all dried out, then they are dead anyway and will not grow anymore and are just shading the rest of the plant.

cutting them off would then benefit the rest of the plant.

the very tip buds are actually not the largest buds. those are usually quite a bit further down. but yes you lost a nice chunk (though maybe its smokable)
