Problems from Using Too Much Fox Farms Big Bloom?

Hey all, im currently finishing up my grow with about 3 weeks left and recently ran out of my bontanicare feeder and had some fox farms big bloom. Big Bloom doesnt have much stuff in it and it said to use 1/2 cup/gallon...so i did. The next feed which was about 3 days later i gave it a cup of big bloom/gallon. That time i gave them it the soil clumped up real bad and the water pretty much stayed on the top until i poked holes in the soil to let it drain to the bottom. Now this morning i am noticing my haze plant looking a little droopy which it has never done before. Could this be a problem from using too much big bloom? Any suggestions or ideas on what to do?

I don't think big bloom would do that to the soil, it sounds like the soil just got too much water too fast. 8 tablespoons (1/2 a cup) a gallon sounds like way too much though, it should only be 3-5 max and most people probably never need more than 3 or 4. That stuff is organic and the NPK is pretty low though, so I wouldn't be too worried about damage. Just don't use any for awhile and then when you get back started only use 2-3 table spoons per gallon perhaps only every other watering or less. They say to use that much, but really you only need about 3, maybe 4 if its been awhile.

Yeah cut out the nutes.....
I aint ever heard of water just staying on top ..thats kinda wierd...
You want a soil that drains fast... and have an outlet for the water to drain into.....
Ideally you could use a 1/2 a cup....at the beggining of flower... but i only give mine 1tbsp per gallon since i use the solubles also.....
Big Bloom has a low npk ... and isnt known to burn plants.... but it seems like you may have a whole different issue....
with no pics i cant tell u much...

I'm having that problem with some of the soil in a little tomato grow on the side of our front porch. The soil is too full of clay or something so if it rains a lot too quickly it can start to pool on the top and I have to poke it with a bamboo stick a bit. My mistake was burying the ocean forest too deep instead of mixing it in with everything
