Should I bend it, top it :( what is possible while in flower? Day 20

I think the topping option would be best.
The energy needed to repair and maintain a bend would far outweigh the energy needs for topping.

Lol tears sounds a lot better.
But if topping works the same way in flowering as it does in veg.
What kind of benefits do you think it will have in flowering

I had a plant stretch up into the reflector just recently. I let it fry itself and it did on the top 6 inches... The rest of it was gargantuan by the end.

Just reach in there and bend that shit. It is hemp.. Put the branches where you want them..

hey can either of you tell me HOW bad it is to have your ducting going the wrong way? The dude at the shop told me there are arrows that say which direction is best to have the air blowing. When i was done setting it up I realized that the section of ducting going from the the fan and out of the tent (which is like a ten foot section) is the wrong way. Now in my head I cant see the big difference. But now I'm having temperature issuse and trying to think of every little thing ..... thanks guys

I didn't know there was a wrong way to blow your fan. The arrow indicates which direction the flow is, but it doesn't tell you what is best for your grow.

One way is more efficient than the other... either blowing out or pulling through.. I think it is blowing out.. Maybe some one can chime in.

no no no, the DUCTING has arrows at each end of it saying which way you should have the air flow going. and the length of ducting going from the fan out of the tent is turned the oppisite of the "suggested" way. lol.. im reading this and it sounds kind of confusing I dont know how else to explain it tho.

Don't top it, it's a little too late for that. Gently bend it over and tie it down, without creasing the stem. If necessary, bend it a little each time, and bend it further and futher, at intervals, if you are worried about breaking/creasing the stem, if you bend it all the way to where you need it, in one shot. If you top it, there's not enough time for re-growth, and'll lose whatever you've cut off(including yield). If you bend it, you lose nothing. :)

what would happen if I do crease it over?

^Nothing really, just slow things down a little, you'd be supercropping it, sort of. I was just stressing that you don't want to crease it, because the less you stress it, the better the results will be, especially at this point in life.

I wouldn't top at 3rd week flowering it be in stock for a week or 2:( I would try to tie it down with whatever :)

I top only in veg and lit it veg for 2 week after topping git cut at the 5th set of branches cuz the first 2 sets ain't shit
the other 3 set of branches will get you a 6 pack of cola's!

:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:

Lol, Eh, don't sweat it too much, if the leaves are turning upwards, it should be just fine. Just try not to move it around alot, while it puts it's energy into repairing the crease.

try to weight down ? , theres a techinque where u spin one intermode until it gets really bentry without tissue damage ( at least not seen ) then u can bent it as far as u want w/o fear of snaping , watered plants are more elastic too

if i were u i would be toping them or let it overgrow !

I have one solution that has not been mentioned although it is not perfect it might allow you that tiny bit of grow space you need, pull the light away from the plant and the angle it at the plant a little, with pulling the plant down a little and pulling the light away and angling it at her you should create more space and not loose light. The plants directly under the light will now recieve less light but it is still an option. Peace

hell ya guys thanks for the input!!! I really appreciate it for real!! Yes, I did bend it, more like a crease. Hopefully I go and see that it's doing fine. If not whatever i guess. now i know :)

^Next time, just do it in increments, bending a little each time, tying it down for at least a couple hours, then bend it a little more, until you get it to where you want it. You could literally tie your plant into a knot, without hurting it, if you do it in steps.LOL

Bonjo78, what you are referring to, is "supercropping". Works best in veg, but can also be used during flowering. I prefer to bend them, because it eliminates the repair time(and stress) associated with supercropping.

Plants are also softer and more flexible the day after watering. Bend her over good, she will love it.
