no im not an aussie but ur right the cyco line is from Australia, its been in the US for about 6 or maybe less. it was really hard to find info on and it makes ur plants do some weird things but the growth is amazing and they seem to be super happy. if anyone out there is thinkin about running cyco i highly recommend it. any cage ideas? is it too late to scrog? i think all my sativas go gonna need crutches and every problerm i run into is a new one for me (1st time grow) good or bad! how can i project yeild? am i on track to have monsters, i put 15 in the room this time as per rx but my roommate has his now should i do 30 is sq pots next time?

****correction 4.3 gal puts(not 2.5)*****

Looks like you're running some serious wattage on those lights. With lights like that, you probably have monster vigor, yes? (great job if this really is your first grow btw)... I think it's a little too late to try something as aggressive as laying a screen on them. You can, however, utilize a less harsh method of lower stress training by using cotton string and laying down various branches that get too tall. Forcing tall branches to grow in a semi-horizontal position increases yield as well. I'm not sure if you have convenient anchor points to use string, and I can see it becoming a spider web of string (but a spider web of complex ties serves as a rough screen)... but if you can leave your pots stationary, that's all I can think of. Hope that helps.

Oh, and simple cotton string is a great way to support a weak branch just as much as tying down a branch that's too strong. Peace!

Dude, I took a second look at your setup. The plants are gorgeous. Nicely done. I love, love, love the sheer volume of your system with your massive two-tiered light bank. That's a lot of lumens you're managing there. But yes, I'm afraid those big tall magnificent plants on the right are sativas. The tell-tale sign is the wide spacing between nug chunk nodes. You better tie those, brother.

If they are drooping right before lights off, then it is normal. That is absolutely correct. They sense night coming on and are getting ready for bedtime.

That looks like a flood table. You are running hydro, yes?

edit:
Sorry bro... read your description. Yeah you're running hydro. Sweet.

thanks for the responses guys im glad someones appreciating all the work me and my roomie have done! it is my first grow, not that ive never been around others, i got back form my last deployment and decided i wanted to make an investment.....cost about 5x's what i thought (10-12,000) but i dont like to do things half ass. Im a full time student and have alot of time so i read everything relevant i could get my hands on and about 4 mo later i have my dream room......the system im running isnt really hydro....its a drain to waste so its super forgiving, i had some nute probs early on but its so easy to flush my system that i was able to dial it in....i think. i love the way the cheeses grow! i got 3 pots per 3x3 tray(so 1 600w sun leaves viper 6....just about 3x3 so ive got max lumens penetrating the canopy! insane results better than anything i expected.....thanks for the advice guys what about big tomato cages or wrapping hurricane fencing around the pots?

Alls I can say is I'm pretty experienced with hi-wattage growing and I am blown away by your lighting. Do you know what you have there, first timer? You have a light powerhouse. You WILL see uncontrollable growth when they really hit their wheels in flower (especially those Sativas). Trellises, tomato cages, string, a combination of string and cages... Yes, do it all... Those Sativas will get out of your hands if you let them. I promise you that.

Haha, he's right. I like to think that indoor Sativa's are for small-time growers who want head-stash weed. If you have the time and personal will to train your plants low prior to and in the beginning stages of flower, all will be fine. Honestly, it won't be hard for you, just a bit of tedious work. We're growing some haze strains that top out at 14 weeks indoors and stretch like no other. A smorgasbord of training, topping, and cropping will set you up for a ton of success with long-ripening sativas. Keep in mind that preparation is key. Figuring out you're fucked and trying to make moves halfway through the process is usually not only twice as expensive, but half as effective. Aside from that, how are you not poppin' breakers? That's some WATTAGE haha....

lol thanks guys ill keep postin pics as WE try to keep these girls afloat.....next time i think im gonna scrog all my sativas.....???? ill post some pics when the lights come back on. i hand wired it all in myself through an individual 220v wall heater...that was scary shit lol its been runnin for about 5 wks solid and no hitches including a 24 hr veg cycle (only 2 lights) next step build a veg room to match the flower room....ill def post some build pics but thats a few mo away. i got alot of info from alot of sources and am def still a newbie but i know that "eliminating variables" is the name of the game so i try to do just that and no more....leave the probs for the vets on my grow journal! lol thanks again guys!
