Interesting. Honestly, never before new or cared what a neo-con was. It's political jargon as far as I am concerned, what with the warping of words by the left. Soviet Commies have been referred to as Conservatives, Hitler was on the right, etc etc. Slandering a philosophy is the best they, the leftists, can do. Defeating it with fresh ideas seems out of the question for these loons. As Rush stated today, better to define the philosophy of Conservatism than to argue over it's definition. To be drawn into that argument is conceding the principles behind the word.I'm afraid that you missed the point of my post, closet. See, I'm in agreement with you on the NeoCons. They are nothing but recycled socialists of the left in Republican clothing. Here's an interesting link:
POLITICS: What Is a Neo-Conservative Anyway?
From the article: "As neo-con godfather Irving Kristol once remarked, a neo-conservative is a ''liberal who was mugged by reality''. True to that description, neo-cons generally originated on the left side of the political spectrum and some times from the far left. Many, such as Kristol himself, have Trotskyite roots that are still reflected in their polemical and organisational skills and ideological zeal."
