It's across town not across country. I'll be back every few days mainly to use the office facilities at my house. I think you misunderstood me, the whole family isn't moving, just me.

But how much attention will it need? I'm not intensively growing here, it's just an experiment. I'm thinking with the cooler evening temperatures (around 50-60 F for you Americans) the plant's growth won't be dramatic anyway. I'm going to spray it with some vegetable-friendly pesticide and fungicide every now and then and see how it does, there should be enough rain for it (this is England after all) but I'll water it if we have a hot stretch.

Anyway it still remains to be seen if whatever strain this is can survive one English summer night - if it can't it will be a shame!

Ahh h there is the misinterpretation i thought your whole fam was moving. You have to harden your plant off to those cold nights.

its dying...root damage i would say...maybe hit it with some superthrive and MAYBE it will come back to life...but that is why you dont transplant when multiple plants are in one pot...much better to pick the best and chop the rest...but at least your learning what works and what wont.

Take one of the other plants that one looks salvageable. And do what djruiner said and cut the ones u dont want tht r in the same pot as the one u want.

Bit of old shoelace. Thought it wouldn't be swell up too much if it rained and easily cut away if the plant took hold. Must of been the shock of suddenly being transported into a new environment + cold of the night (got down to 55F last night)

I can't smoke the stick unfortunately!

I will take advice and wait for rest to be planted, just worried another week or so and they will be too rootbound and weak-stemmed to survive!

Figured out what the problem was - when I took away the shoelace holding the plant to the stick it fell over - stalk had snapped almost in two, probably in the wind, hence why the leaves were dying.

At a loss now as to what to do. I would re-plant immediately but the clay pot broke in two when I went to empty it - maybe it's a sign!

I'll wait for the rest to get re-planted and steal one of the pots for myself so I can pick a good one.

robert I do have permission - these plants are going into the back garden, either through me or my mother, even if my dad thinks they are mint or something.

your dad is a cop who is trained on a regular basis on how to identify diff.drug and drug paraphernalia ,if you think he doesn't know what that is your way off
