People Leaving?

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of people are leaving lately? I have been noticing a lot more trolling/stupid/flaming (yeah, flaming) posts than usual, and there seem to be frequent "I'm leaving..." notices, but are folks really leaving or just making noise? And, are the people leaving really people we want to hang around anyway? Just wondering what everybody else is thinking.

Yes a LOT of people are leaving, In my humble opinion its because its ok to troll it up with bad info, or to mock people(as long as you don't call them a name and you are clever with your trollin). I have found a new online home but I like stopping back in from time to time to watch the drama unfold. I wonder how many users from 2006-2008 are still here maybe 25?
RIU is fun site although the growing info on the site has slowly gone down hill over the last few years, mostly the blind leading the blind now.

This theme happens every year. Same ole same ole, just a different group of people every time.
 
I've seen good sites utterly destroyed by trolls, I sure hope that doesn't happen here. That'd be depressing.
 
yah remember when roseman left back in the day cause he was getting trolled and let the troll have it

yah every year more and more knowledable growers leave, but thats ok we get 30 new growers with zero experince in return :)
 
ive only been here 5 or 6 months but ive been tempted to leave a few times, i love this site and gained immense knowledge from cool helpful people on here more than a few times but i cussed like 2 people out and bam i got some warning notice from some f***in q**er...


there was a thread where some kid (obviously under 18 was asking if it was cool to grow in his parents house and i told him no grow up and move out before you grow marijuana illegally @ your parents crib and risk them losing their home and i called him the F word, OH NO!...guess what, here comes f***in q**erbait with a warning...lol
 
It's like Wal-Mart and McDonald's hooked up and had a whole litter of half-formed little bastard children who've got the internet and decided to grow weed. It's all about the quantity.
 
All the info on RIU is archived, it's all there to be read. This site is a "goldmine" of valuable info. This site could stop cold in it's tracks and it wouldn't matter. Everythings been done and talked about over and over and over. Just need to read.

In the two + years I've been here (not reflected in my join date) I've NEVER had a confrontation with administrators... never had an infraction... never had a thread locked or deleted. And I've had a few 1,000+ reply threads.

How many else of you can say that ;)



The people that have been leaving have been leaving as a result of their actions in one way or another...


Most of the people 'leaving' or 'left' I won't really miss... because all the cool people are level headed that don't butt heads with admins/other users.
 
Maaaaannnnnnnnn If anybody leaves because of Trolls... how really bad can a flamer be? I've gotten reps with crap whack ass hateful messages in them but they are just words from a sorry douchebag. You can't let a douchebag wash out your good time while you're deeply mounted inside of this deep, dark mine of precious information
 
I don't think I've ever been given a warning, but I thought was going to when I came down pretty hard on someone, basically for being f@#$ing retarded and trying to force their stupidity onto others. That thread still pisses me off when I think about it.

trolls aren't that hard to deal with, i mean, i'd rather sling some sh*t at a troll than leave.
 
I think that's where the problem is, I think a lot of folks would just rather go over to 420 or cannabisforum or whatever than deal with chasing off trolls.

Glad to see Sr. Verde and Kodank hanging around, and I'm really glad to see Kodank changed his avatar back to the bouncing titties we all know and love!
