NON online....means no WoW shit.

I'm an avid socom player and always have been.

I want something to play on flights, or where I have no wireless

any suggestions?

yea I'm into strategy. I love FPS and 3rd person shooters the most....but if its not online its usually not fun.

used to play the age of empires stuff back in the day...bout as far as I've gone into strategy games.

I'll take any suggestions, for any category, as long as it isnt an online only game.

WoW sucks ass.

my personal favorite is medieval total war. it does take a lot of time and god it's frustrating at times. but yeah

the new Starwars online game looks pretty badass....

Diablo 2 and starcraft are my throwbacks.. better online but still good fun.

the Hitman franchise is my all time favorite, probably a little hard to play on a plane without a controll pad

socom used to be the shit... but the new ones suck. I spent so much time playing socom 2 that is was ridiculous. I had hundreds and hundreds of hours played on that shit but i quit after the new ones came out

hidden and dangerous 2 is great fun if a tad old a a little buggy :) currently playing through the lego games, co-op on 1 pc, pop some edibles while on the plane and you'll be loving that shit :D simple but fun.

I bought that game for literally 35 cents, took it home and spent ten minutes remapping every key to wasd. Seriously its a pretty cool game although I couldn't get past the 5th mission, it just freezes up. Best 35cent game I've ever bought.

Best single player pc game ever? Half life.

Haha, i use a bluetooth keyboard that doesn't have a numpad, i literally ran out of keys when mapping them, was a bit of a pain at times. Once it get's going though it's a corker! i loved playing lone wolf mode.

I pretty much stick to consoles for gaming, sitting on the couch with a big TV is better than sitting at a computer desk for hours. Best games I've played in the past year are Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire., Portal 2 (should be availalbe on the PC too) Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect2

Yer just doing it wrong then :D i have a nice couch and 32" tv rigged to a gaming computer in one room and another gaming pc and a 42" in my bedroom with comfy leather chairs :) only reason i can say buy a console is spit screen and that normally they work, although xbox 360's are hardly great in the reliability field. My opinion is that consoles are for joking around, pc's are for when you want to get serious as well. I really really want to see a clan based FPS console vs pc match, i think it would be safe to asume the previously pro console players would find themselves being annihilated. I think in a way they are for such different uses that it's not relly fair to compare them like for like, they each have merits.

Bottom line for me though is the graphics on consoles are god damned awful so well, pc every time :)

farcry 2 get's a touch repetitive in it's missions and goals, but it's hella fun, as is just cause 2, both need a slightly beefier laptop though. If i'm bored, i always install GTA vie city, love that game :)

I played Everquest for years. Tried Wow but it was too cartoony and too many kids talking shit. Been playing Rift some, but I think I am pretty burned out on MMORPG's

socom confrontation is defiantly the best one made so far, I think it beats the newest one. We actually came in 2nd during clanfair in newyork a couple years back, almost won 50k.

I have a gaming center most people dream of, 56" samsung, 3000watt sound system, xbox, ps3, wii (all the way back to regular nintendo) I use the flat screen as my pc monitor, everything is bluetooth and wireless

I'm much more into console games. Although I did play warrock quite a bit on pc back in the day. I'm NOT into mmorpg or whatever it is.
I also played diablo back in the day.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll google em and see which appeals most to me.
