Definitely supercropping about 10-14 days into flowering... Depends on the strain though.....But not the usual supercropping in which you pinch the stem and bend it over..... This is not as harsh, as I just pinch the stem at node 2 and 3 from the top down on each cola.... Will stop the stretching, and start producing buds faster with this low stress technique...... Alot of growers like Soma will tell you to completely bend the stem over, but I dont like this, as it kinda makes the colas grow with like a 2 inch arch, and will make those small shoots that were not getting as much light stretch up resulting and being more susceptible to small popcorn like nugs, rather than Nice chunky colas with good structure....... Idk if you'll get more yield if you completely bend the stem over, but I like the nug formation better when you just break the stem in, and not bend it.... It will still heal, and make the stem stronger......... I do sometimes bend the stem over, but during veg... Not in flower.
Try not to feed too much nitrogen, and keep your plants lime green in color..... If they are dark dark green, flush, and stop with the nitrogen for a bit..... Dont give them over 2% nitrogen with your nut regimen... Always keep a NPK Fert with high PK, with very little to no N (0-12-13 or 2-11-11 for example) and feed it just that, and your basic additives without any N ratio
and I hear that Humboldt's County's Own Gravity is great stuff for flower hardner, but must be used with moderation, as it is very strong stuff, and must not be used for more than 3-4 days about 2 weeks before harvest, and then flush, and maybe continue using your regular nutes at like half strength for the next week, then flush, and nothing but water and molasses the last week-10 days of your flushing period....... Least how I am gonna use it, when it gets here, as I just ordered it yesterday...... Lets see how it works, since this crop has been like my worst in a while, since I had major PH issues due to new coco medium I used, which said on the package that it was pre ph balanced, and I trusted it, so fed it with 6.0 water, and the whole time the ph was under 5.0, and by the time I figured it out, I was already a week into flower, and at the time I was buying water 5 gallons at a time from my local water mill, because my tap water is so alkaline and at about 500ppm, so couldnt flush using that water.... Till I finally ordered an RO system, and now have access to all the clean 15ppm water I want, and no more trips of carrying 5 gallons at a time....so finally flushed them, and they are doing a little better, but dont expect more than 2 oz per plant.... My A train's fan leaves basically all fell off.... I really didnt care at the time, as Imperfection really bothers me, and I really just felt like just cutting them down and starting over... Till I looked at my practically empty stash, and figured, I'd just get whatever I get, then start over as new.... I'm on day 38, and things are looking better than I expected... Nice frosty nugs on the train, even though its practically bald....lol.... SLH is looking decent also...... Damn.... Went on and wrote a book, eh? :/... Sorry...lol
