I know it's not everyone's bag. An American Werewolf in London and The Thing are probably my 2 favorites.
Oh hell yeah, Children of the Corn kinda freaked me out pretty bad when I was a kid.yah, i dig a good horror flick ever since i was a wee lad and me mommsy took me to the theatre to see the children of the corn, and if you've ever seen the movie, you'd know the part in the beginning right after they run over the kid in the middle of the road, then all of a sudden the kid sits up? well, right at that part, me mommsy lets out a huge scream.. it was classic, and ever since then, i have enjoyed horror movies..
i also just befriended this kid that i used to skateboard with years and years ago on my facebook... i was checking out his profile, and come to find out that he is all into making masks and costumes for some of the more popular horror movies.. by looking at some of his facebook pix, looks like he's pretty good at his craft as well.. he's got all kinds of pix of some of the zombies and all he's made.. he's even got a lot of shot of the process in action, like him doing up an actor / actress.. it was pretty cool to follow along with some of the pix and see how it's done and all.. i give that kid a lof of credit, he looks like he knows wtf he's doing..
Definately love the classics. I wasn't around to see any in the theaters, but I grew up watching 'em on tv. I lived for those old Saturday morning horror host things. The Tingler was my favorite when I was a kid. The scene where Vincent Price does LSD cracks me up.Long time horror lover here....from way back in thre 50's when my father would drop us kids at the local small town theater for a saturday afternoon of horror movie double features and flash gordon or rocket man serials....cost 15 centw for an afternoon thrill a minute....On tv, saturday nights around 9-10, was "Shock Theater" in late 50's with "Fantastic Features" coming on scene in the early to mid 60's....makes one wonder where all those old monster movies have been hidden....lost of classics from back then that I try to collect when available...one of the first to scare the shit outta me was "IT The Terror From Outer Space"...which was actually the blueprint for the Alien series later on....
