Can i put ONA Gel/Block Inside The Grow Tent ?

Well i can't afford to get a carbon filter and fan system anymore so im going to try to go down another route to combat smell as best as possible.

will ONA Be any good ?
also even if i don't have A Filter fan And Duct Pipe and stuff, do i still need fan's for circulation and if so how many ?

I just read about how using Ona too close to a grow ruined the thc and made it impotent. I'd be careful with that stuff!

That guy never even said he used ONA. That was inserted later by some one else, if I recall correctly.
Why not use it outside of your tent, anyhow, because it will treat the whole room?
Anyway, ONA is plant-based.. made of essential oils.
Don't believe the hype!
Also, give ONA a call and ask them their professional opinions, if you will, and report back to us. or not

inside your tent is going to smell regardless, unless you get a massive carbon scrubber and put it in there. Put the ona gel where noses might smell the plants. one by the front door one in the room with your tent.

Yeah i think i will get 2 or 3 and place them in the room i grow in and outside that room.
i cant afford a carbon filter at the moment as i need money for amsterdam

Hey. for any1 wondering if they can put ona block near there plants? DONT!!!! i left mine to near my plants by mistake and i think their F*cked. the smell is completely gone from them and they have not grown any in 2 days. maybe they will come around, i dont know. any1 with any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I use Ona, and it works great for smaller grows, I drill a few holes in the lid, and put it near the exhaust.

If you open the entire lid, and just stick it in the tent, I can see it making the weed taste and smell like the Ona. I doubt it'd ruin the THC though as it's made from plant extracts, you'll just have Ona flavored weed.

I've tried two kinds of Ona, the Clean Linen, and the Polar Crystal. The CL is the best of those 2. I've also tried the gel and the block version. Gel is better in my opinion.

good point gary. i also think opening the whole jar is a mistake. you can definitely get away with leaving just a small sample open

Ditto, I used the crystal scent. Works great but dries out to quick. I use fabuloso, its a cleaner like pinesol. I just do half water half that stuff in a pot on the stove on low. Whole house smells good.

Gary is right about the gel also. USE IT. The blocks aren't good for shit. At least, not for me. The gel worked MUCH better. Also, why not build your own carbon filter? I did that for my first grow.

Those blocks sure do dry up fast, even with just drilling a few holes in the top, I was hoping for like 8 weeks out of mine.... Not so much....

Carbon filters probably do work best for odor control though. I never used one, but have been in/near grow rooms where a carbon filter was being used, and there was no smell outside the tent. I was always lucky enough to live in a place where I didn't need to get rid of the smell, I exhausted into the attic, and that was all I needed to do.

Since then I have moved, and can't have the house smelling of weed. I only have a small grow, and a carbon filter + fan isn't practical for my situation, and someone suggested Ona, and I wasn't a believer until I tried it. It works, and works well, if you use the gel, or plan to keep buying the blocks at a fast pace.

I've also tried another odor control gel, it works good, but the Ona smells better. I have an ozone generator as a back up, but never had to use it for growing weed, I do run it for like 10 minutes after smoking, and expect people over that don't smoke. It works better than the Ona in my opinion. I just don't want ozone in my office, where my cabs are.

if your growing in a small area try 1 of these. i have 1 and hang it up in grow cab works pretty good

I have a grow tent 3x3x6 and have 4" carbonfilter with 4 " inch 105 cfm fan inside there.
Its 4th week of flowering and no smells is coming outside the tent yet... But im still wondering what will happen
if the smell gets more intense..
I want to ask why people buy so massive fans / filters when smaller onces works like a charm...

I used Ona-Gel in my grow room, about 3 feet from an open tent. I used the Arctic Ice (or whatever the flavor is) and the plant which was budding at the time tasted like Polar Ice chewing gum. It was still potent, but there was a definite wintergreen "cool" taste. Subsequent grows of the same strain (same nutes) didn't have that taste. I'm pretty sure the nature of Ona-Gel caused it to be absorbed by the buds.
