Soil mixing?

What does it mean when mixing soil, it says mix 1 part this 2 part that? What does part mean in measurement? How much is a part

I'm pretty sure it means a 1:2 ratio. For example, if you use one gallon of the first part, you'd use 2 gallons of the second part...

yea you got it right chomps its just a ratio to follow no matter how big your batch is.

An interesting post from someone with over 700 posts... The others are correct, its a ratio. 1 part could mean 1 tablespoon, 1 cup full or whatever.

What is a good organic soil mix that is proven to work?? Does anyone use promix bx and foxfarm soil together?
