Asparagus

I'm planning on starting to grow asparagus, but I haven't been able to find any info on growing it indoors. Has anyone tried this? I want to cut down the time it takes to produce edible shoots. Any info would be appreciated.

Isn't it grown in mounds?
I have some asparagus starts that look like a bundle of twigs... I forgot to plant them this spring.. They loked like twigs all along, though..
You plant one year and harvest the second year.
I don't think it is a good fit for indoor gardening.
try brussels sprouts or, my favorite veggie rapini:

i was going to say something to that effect...it takes a few years for a nice patch to mature outdoors and it might cost you a pretty penny to get those results. not to try to deter you, but then you know of course that after you harvest the spears, you must put up with all that frilly foliage until next year.
how about some nice radishes instead?
