Stop by my thread . Im still into my frst grow
I was reading something in hightimes awhile back and read something about 72 hours of darkness. They said it could increase up to 30% with trich production. It was 48-72 hours to be exact. Can anyone concur?
I'm not cannaboy but I'll stop by to see your grow sometime today. I kept them about 2-4 inches away the tops and the bottom of my baby. Never anything further then that. I also had about 200 actual watts in a cab with less then 4 sqftGood job for cfl's .. I started with cfl's but it wasnt working for me ... Havent really yieled shit yet, but hopefully come out with something close to yours soon.. Cant wait to see your dry weight. How close did you keep them during flower ? - thchead

I tried the 72h darkness with a couple of plants from my last grow. Honestly, I didn't notice any difference. Than again, since it was such a small sample population (two plants after 72h, two after 24h, and three chopped shortly after lights-on), I doubt that my results have any real significance. However, 30% increase in trich production sounds a little unrealistic, imo.
That is kinda what I figured when I was reading it. Didn't understand how the plant would produce more without light. Anyways thanks for that Xebeche. I'll be sure to let you and everyone else my end weight. She is looking pretty fat at this point.

Thanks homer and +rep again for that advice. I cut off the smallest nug yesterday and started to dry it out to see the difference between now and next week. It weighed 5gs exactly wet...so i'm thinking about 1-2 gs dry?? I am looking forward to smoking it too.BG, your girl looks great man! As for the 72 hours of darkness, Stoneyluv swears by it, so I trust him on that front. The darkness is supposed to help build up resin production as the plant thinks it's dying. Anyway, should be good either way. That main cola has gotten huge! Look forward to the dry weight & smoke report

Yesterday when examining my buds a little more closely I noticed that some of the nugs have a little bit of rot towards the stem. Basically my airflow wasn't OPTIMUM so those big, dense nugs are the ones that kinda suffered. I hope it doesn't effect my taste of my buds too much. I will take pics or even a video on Monday before we cut her up to show you what I meant by the rot. Its unfortunate but I guess you learn from mistakes, right?? Happy Smoking

Thanks man. I originally hoped for 19gs and now I am hoping it will dry out to be around a zip. The nugs are starting to get a little dry already. AZ is a dry place ha ha. Its only been in there for a day and a half and is already kinda crispy on the outside. The nugs might be getting jarred here in a day or so. +rep for that butter recipe. So far I smoked a quick dried nug and the taste was surprisingly smooth. Real heady high so I can't wait for her to cure and get that full potential outta her. Thanks again for everyone following!
