I learn well from experience, which is why I covered my hands. All because of a thread I read with a woman hands showing in the picture. Someone called her Man Hands, I didn't want anybody talking about my hands! LOL:mrgreen:

You have one heck of a green thumb under those gloves.....all the girls look nice....plus rep..happy growing..

 No, I don't bite my nails. I usually let them grow a little long, but just cut them yesterday. Just to be safe I'm keeping my hands covered. Women MJ growers catch enough hell without being called "Man hands"!;-)

LMAO

They're looking great hun! Haven't checked in for a couple, so great to see they've come along so beautifully.

Grow #2 now have the flowering grow tent to themselves. I took out Grow #1 and have them in the dark. The Grow #2 ladies have taken off like spitfire! When I put them in the tent all by themselves (they were sharing the tent with Grow #1 but they were on the outskirts of the tent) I had to make adjustments by lowering the lamp. Today I had to raise the lamp they are growing so fast. This is going to interesting because they are all different strains and some of them are known to get tall.

Dark Period for 7-Days - Seeds and Clones #1 - First Grow (1.0) Harvest

– Clones/Cuttings AK-48 #1ABCD (4), Shiva Shanti #1ABCD (4)
– Seeds Snow White (1)
– This is my Farm Fox Grow. Farm FoxOcean Forest soil mixture – Farm Fox Big Bloom, Grow Big and Tiger Bloom – Botanicare Cal-Mag Pro – Dyna Grow ProTeKt

I let the girls stay in the dark for 7-days. The bad thing is that I went to chop them this morning and found 'MOLD'! Damn, damn, damn! The Snow White and 3 of the Shiva Shanti didn't have any mold. All 4 of the AK48 had mold and 1 of the Shiva Shanti, which leads me to believe that the AK48 might be a little prone to mold. Granted, I take full blame and responsilbiltiy for it being so bad. I've been having my summer fun when I should have been tending to my garden dammit! I cut off all of the molded colas, which weighed in at 13.9 ounces wet! That's approximately 3.5-4 ounces of dried buds in the garbage. Hands on learning is the best because now I know firsthand that preparing for harvest and harvest time is nothing to mess around with. I think I'll go get STONED!!!:wall:

Sorry to hear of your loss....as i know how you feel.Has happened to me twice and it sucks. But it's all a learning curve like the rest of da bully bullchit that happens, bugs,PM,lock outs, blah blah blah. But yet satisfying all at the same time....funny how things work out.

Why so long in the dark if i may ask?Could have been part of the problem also. Was your medium completely dry before going into darkness?

Yeah, sometimes it's like they say, "It's always something!" I have been enjoying the warm summer weather and kept putting it off is the reason I didn't get to them for 7 days. The rest of the crop is drying nicely, and the mold was only a minor loss.

Enjoy yourself hon......life is to short and full of BS not to.

Harvest/Cure - Seeds and Clones #1 - First Grow (1.0)

– Clones/Cuttings AK-48 #1ABCD (4), Shiva Shanti #1ABCD (4)
– Seeds Snow White (1)
– Using Farm Fox Grow. Farm Fox Ocean Forest soil mixture – Farm Fox Big Bloom, Grow Big and Tiger Bloom – Botanicare Cal-Mag Pro – Dyna Grow ProTeKt

I removed the plants from the drying rack, still had another 3-4 ounces total of mold to remove before trimming and putting in jars to cure.

Results:

(1) Snow White = 5.1 ounces minus 1.3 for additional cure/drying = 3.8 ounces dry

(4) AK48 = 15.2 ounces minus 3.8 for additional cure/drying = 11.4 ounces dry

(4) Shiva Shanti = 13.5 ounces minus 3.4 for additional cure/drying = 10.1 ounces dry

Trimmings and popcorn buds = 13.8 ounces
Bad moldy buds threw out = 17 ounces wet (possibly 4.25 of dried buds)

Total yield from First Official Grow: 25.3+ ounces

Lesson learned from this grow: After chopping pay close attention to buds so that they don’t develop mold. I’m seriously thinking about only growing in the colder months. Controlling the heat without using air conditioning is difficult, not to mention the bugs.
