i topped my plants like a month ago. the two new shoots are like a foot tall now but all the nodes are alternating is that normal after topping?

the nodes grow perpendicular to each other normally, the plant looks like a plus sign from the top if you can think of it that way is that what u meant?

the nodes grow perpendicular all they way up to where i topped it from where i topped it and up they are alternating like they are flowering. i was just wondering if its normal they alternate after topping or is it going into flowering its outside btw

when the nodes start alternating, your plants are mature enough to flower. its a time thing. its also a good way to tell seed from clone.

so if they are mature enough to flower does that mean they start flowering? or is it just the way the plant is not being perpendicular and being alternating considering i topped it

think of it this way... when seeds sprout, the nodes are symmetrical for a while. after a while theyll alternate, and that just means that your plants can handle the budding process. cannabis wasnt meant to flower from seed, no matter what those noobs with their wacky thread tell you. anyhow, the top you took off that plant continued to age... its not so much a growth thing as it is a hormone development thing.

so since they are alternating they are fully mature. but i take it they still have time before they flower?

oh i forgot that part of your question because im high...

your plants will not flower until you change their light cycle. veg em for 5 years, if you want. i HAVE heard that the hormones go wacky and the plant will clone differently after a year, but i havent seen that, in my activities.

No not necessarily right? If they are under more than 12 hours of sunlight then they will stay vegging.
