I only take off fan leaves if they are yellow, or in a place that never gets direct light.
I agreed with the original statement to try and never cut off fan leaves. My point is that humans have probably made the biggest break through in marijuana history by cutting down males. Nature is the best grower, but when combined with human assistance, plants and crops only flourish to a much better and greater extent. Nature can use our assistance from time to time.

those are big pots which is fine, but dont overwater them as root mass is not that big yet. Yellowing can come from Nit def, over water, or nute burn.
Are you using any nutrients yet, or what have you added to the soil so far?
gonna be a nice grow man!!

Your newer growth isn't yellowing or burning tips so your good. I personally neglect my plants a bit. A little bit of stress now and again is fine. You just don't want your soil to become bone dry where it cracks and your girls are all slumped down.

better to stress from underwater than to over-water

It's stupid to remove any fan leaves whether they're receiving direct sunlight or not, either way they are absorbing indirect light and are helping in the photosynthesis process results in a vigorous plant. This is my opinion you already have a good soil with lots of compost and soil life doing there job just fine, to give them chemical nutes would just be killing off all those you have worked to build. I've already attested to the quality of the general organics line but any other organics substitutes would work just as fine. Liquid seaweed and fish emulsion are 2 great additives that a number of diff companies make.

You CAN use synthetic nutes plants dont care whether there nitrogen comes from chelated nitrates or ground up fish its all the same to them.. but when you kill off soil life it makes it harder for plants to fend for themselves simply put. The whole foodweb below the soil works in such complex ways that you may ultimately find that organic plants are just as healthy if not healthier than chemically grown.

So organics have my vote just for ease and quality of finished product but maybe try a little bit of both and see what works for you. I will say though that if you decide to go synthetic please don't shell out 40 bucks for the same nutrients that can be held for 5. Jacks classic can be found for 5 dollars and is the same exact thing as any number of bottles found at your hydrostore. Floranova contains every trace element because thats what's needed when your growing in water. You have a dank soil mix so why pay the price for something you don't need? Good luck either way and keep us posted

You are looking good. Those smart pots are supposed to help keep the roots cooled and have access to air. If you haven't seen much growth yet, they are probably still just getting over the transplant. It can take anywhere from 2 days to a week to recoup and then you will see growth again.
They are growing well. Don't let the California sun fry them to a crisp.

nice. do you know what the mixture is? like how much neem with how much water...

spray once a week over the entire plant. both top and bottom of leaves. i like to put my hand around the branch and slide my hand up it, to fold the leaves up and spray under them. then i spray the tops.

idk if using it at night is necessary. i usually do it at like 9 or 10am and i dont see any problems. also it will not directly kill the bugs if you spray it on them. it soaks into the plants leaves, and when the bugs eat them, they die. when an egg hatches, the bug will eat the plant for a little while until it gets wings or whatever it does when it becomes an adult. this will kill them, which makes them not able to breed and reproduce obviously.

dont spray it in late flowering

It's food grade safe so you can use it late into flowering. Soak the soil as well as it will kill the bugs and gnats. Good job on the neem!! That's exactly what I use.

Looking good Gopedxr. Is cotton candy the same as candy kush? I have a candy kush, a green ribbon and I just got a purple kush that I was going to use as a mom inside, but eff it. Why not take advantage of the sun we finally got up here in nocal. I can always make babies later!

To be honest i am not sure if its the same or not. And thanks a lot the girls are looking good the sky walker got burned a little bit but just like people said as long as the new growth is green. I just sprayed my girls down and the soil with the neem oil. I am going to have to get my own real soon. I went through a decent amount of that bottle just now.

And i think the mixing levels are on the bottle of neem oil luger. My friend made the mix so i am not exactly sure what it is.

yeah i make a batch of 2 cups worth of mix for my plants. i have 3 that r about 2ft tall and 2 clones. i use most of it, and spray the rest on other stuff in the garden. it does go pretty quickly haha. also i think its better to mix it right before use. thats why i only do 2 cups at a time. id recommend doing this too(maybe 4 cups to start), and slowly increase as your plants grow. just so you dont waste it

i know the mixes are on the bottle  i have one. i was just wondering how much your friend put in the bottle.

What I do is spray the bottom leaf and wait 24 hours to see if it burns or not prior to spray a whole plant.
