Odd Behavior From People Lately?

So a couple weeks ago I was at work, working with 2 other coworkers, one says to the other "hey, guess who texted me?.. if you know, say the first letter of the first name." ...

Then I know my friend is having issues with her boyfriend... I'm like "so what happened?" she mentions she just broke up with him and she regrets it, so I asked "why?" and she replies "what, 20 questions?" kinda bitchy..

Is this kind of behavior normal? It seems really odd to me. If someone knew I was having problems, a close friend, and asked, I'd know they were genuinely curious, as I was, and interested in helping. What kind of a reaction is it to be automatically defensive?

The other shit is really starting to piss me off. This one guy in particular always does it, he's so fucking shady it's ridiculous. He'll ask me shit about my weekend, who I'm talking to, anything that comes to his mind, then when I ask him he actually says shit to me like "oh, don't worry about it.." or he'll brush off my question "oh nah, it's cool... so what's up, blah blah blah.." and try to change the subject or talk to someone else, and act as if it's not rude or out of the ordinary at all. Is this shit normal?

A few other girls do something similar too, they'll talk under their breath... walk away and talk... stop talking when someone comes around, obvious shit. That's just rude, right?

As far as your post, I just feel like people don't really care about being nice anymore. I work in a restaurant and it's incredible the way some people that come in treat us. My momma sure didn't raise me like that! Good thing karma is a bitch to all who wrong her, keep your head up homie

I would have taken this as an answer to your question. They broke up cos she's a smartass bitch. But I don't think it's odd for someone in a breakup to feel defensive.

I've come across some RUDE ASS motherfuckers lately!

Today this guy came in with a USB cable that hooked up to his printer, and a fuckin' ancient cable I hadn't seen in maybe, 5 years? Tried to tell me his computer was telling him he needed to buy this cable that didn't exist, one end with a USB and one with this ancient port, like WTF? My boss came out and tried to tell the guy we didn't have any kind of cable he was requesting, and he was pretty sure they don't even make it, he goes on to inform him he's not "illiterate in computers" and he "used to work for NASA" OK!!! lmfao! I was standing there this guy wasn't grasping the point my boss was trying to make, just being a fuckin' idiot to be a FUCKIN' IDIOT!

Don't people feel embarrassed to make a fuckin' fool of themselves? Aren't people concerned with being too stupid to even speak to another person calmly in public??

If I did any of the shit I see people do on a day to day basis I'd feel like a dick..

I couldn't agree more that some people just don't get it. It's like they're progrmmed to think they're the only one's who matter. These people will get what's comming though.

Eventually, and I'm not saying exactly when...people will learn to help one another, be pleasent and respect others for the good of our existence. True, but the only work that is left for people is to provide for themselves and not in the form of money and a job per say.

I've been hustling in the general population for 5 decades...seen the slow breakdown of civil virtues along the way which changes in dynamics according to the part of the country you're in...but one common theme that transends all levels of society is the lack of concern for simple common decency and respect for others. Seems that most people on the road are oblivious to the world aroudn them...then ya have those who act as if the world revolves around them and FOR them....
I grew up with yes sirs, no mams expected always and still do....some people are truely shocked when someone actually treats them with even basic respect....much less a smile and 'good day' comment....
