Man, I Hate Giving Money To Dispensaries (Black Market Prices, BS Lingo)

out of weed and jonesing bad, i went to a dispensary today. its weird there, man. i hate giving them my money to begin with, but i grit my teeth, curse, and do it anyways in extreme cases. one thing i REALLY hate is dispensary lingo... the "donations" and "wellness center" and the "we arent a dispensary, we are a lounge" thing. in the state im in, medical marijuana is legal, but these dispensaries that are cropping up are not. so anyways i GO TO BUY SOME POT (had to throw that in there) and i cant even give the person with the buds the money. before i get my buds, i have to go to another room and give someone my "donation" and then they give me a playing card to take to the room with the buds. weird shit, huh? but check this out... theres little bowls of bud and you put the playing card in front of the bowl that you want and THEN the lady just busts out a jar and gives you whatever. NO WEIGH OUT. the buds are super good... better than what i grow, im not gonna front, but i just dont think its worth it. and the prices... get out of here. i only got 5.5 grams for 50 bucks plus a $5 charge to get in the club. see, thats part of the bullshit here. they charge you just to get in the door. im really bummed about this because i have about a month before i have any buds of my own to smoke.

whats funny, though.. is when i was giving the dude my money and getting my playing card, i kept stressing the word "BUY". he hated that shit, and almost kicked me out. oh well... might as well get something for my $5 door charge. :finger:

I see 50 an eighth in my parts, mostly see 40-45 around friends.... most people get ounces for 260.... halfs for 140....

So yeah not bad if it's some seriously dank smoke

It's all relative to your income and ability to pay. No the price wasn't high but dude might not have it to pay so I empathize.
If I knew you personally and lived near you yo I would totally hook you up. You pay my overhead, that's it.

around here its like 40-50 for 3.5g. so what you got isnt too bad IMO. but i dont like dispensaries either. the whole donation thing is BS like you said. also the price ranges are fucked up. they are just supposed to be getting enough money to stay in business, right? arent they supposed to be non profit? how come if i buy a gram, i have to pay 20 bucks? but if i buy an ounce, each individual gram is like 10 bucks. i think if they can sell it for 10 bucks if you buy that amount, i should be able to get a single gram for 10. even if we buy an ounce, theyre still making some money off it, so i dont see the problem of selling the grams for cheaper.

I'd pay $50 + $5?? for 5.5 g of some dank medical in a heartbeatbongsmilie. My buddy sells me his homegrown for 1/4 $75, 1/2 $150, 0z $300 so there's no break in price depending how much weight you want, it's all pretty even and fair. (Unless you get the qp special for $1100;-)) Or if you got some of your own homegrown he'll straight up trade just to get variety, anything from 1g to a pound... So it's pretty sweet. Anyways sorry to hear about your misfortune... Happy Grown...:mrgreen:

You paid 10 a gram and are bitching because they were there to give you weed better than what you grow, when you were out of your weed? How does this make sense. You had a choice to NOT SMOKE if you were so concerned about giving money to these clubs.

Please, folks, if you patronize these clubs, do not come out and bitch at what you got. Unlike your street dealers, they have a commercial lease and employees to pay.

At least you have dispensaries. In New Mexico we have "producers" and you pay 80 bucks for an quarter plus a 20 dollar delivery fee. We have very few producers and 95% of them are located in Albuquerque or Santa Fe so there's a delivery fee.

Those people running that dispensary are a johnny come lately bunch of fly by night amateurs
that have no idea what they are doing. They must be wearing their clown shoes. $50 + $5?
Not worth putting up with such nonsense and hassles. I would never go back to that shop no matter how good the smoke is.
I laugh at people that don't know what they are doing when it comes to sales.

this guy is complaining about $55 for 5.5g of some chronic from the club? I got my card and everything and thats great, its normally $55 for 3.5g!!! so please do not whine about great prices, yes, I hate dispensaries too, but that price actually isn't bad.

that does sound weird. here, you an choose the quality you want. outdoor, low end (still quite good) is usually $35 an 1/8th. i never get that, i always go for the $50-60 stuff. I don't smoke a lot, just a few hits at a time so it lasts me a while. you have to pay for a pescription here, that's like $40 per year. $5 per visit could add up. you may havepicked a bad place. i've never heard of the playing card thing, that's weird. they always give free papers and lighters at the dispensaries here, some give free soft drinks too.
