Help needed urgently. Browning leaves, going crispy.

This is my first grow and the problem is affecting three of my five plants.
I brought the ph down yesterday (it's now at 6) after realising it was much too high (I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing over 7.5). The problem initally started 8-10 days ago with white specks on the tip of the bottom leaves after giving them a feed with biogrow. Some time later a yellowing around the tip of the leaves emerged alongside an overall paler colour. In the past day or so the leaves have gone brown and crispy, slightly upturned or twisted. Up until the past day or so they had remained soft and pliable. I laid off the feeding once the white tips had shown themselves and flushed the plants. I'm watering them fully every 4-5 days. I presumed that this must be some sort of nutrient lock or burn, but if anyone can help me identify the problem and how to remedy it that'd be great
