AK-48 Nirvana

ordered 5 AK-48 Feminized seeds from nirvana on 5.30.11.
Nirvana shipped them on 06.04.11.
Seeds arrived 06.15.11. (LV)


Planted 1 seed in a rock wool cube that night at midnight, (06.16.11 - 12.00am PST).


on the 18th around 5pm



19th 9pm (just under 72 hours)




Germination: After reading many different opinions on here about germination methods, I decided to place the seed directly into rockwool. (No more paper towel method for me). Skipping the paper towel method allows me to skip having to transplant the seed into the RW, possibly damaging it in the process. Also, the taproots always seem to curl when germinated in a paper towel which are harder to transplant. Placing the seed in rockwool will have the taproot growing straight down when the seed cracks open, and this must be better than a curled taproot. right?

After I placed the seed in the rockwool I put it in a tupperware bowl with lid and placed in dark closet, opening the container briefly every 12 hours or so.


I will be grownig in a homemade bubbleponics system minus the drip pump.

Gonna put my cube in the system some time tomorrow 6.20.11


I will post pics of the res and how I made it next, along with progress as she grows.

just cropped and smoking a fat one right now remember 48 days in PERFECT conditions
i went 8 and a half weeks to be sure and veged for 2 and a half
real fast grower put in flower at 10" reached 38":bigjoint:;-)

Now thats some good news I want to flower when mine get about 20-30 inches. Now that should be some fun. How much did she produce?

Set up the lights today, filled my res and fired it all up.
My setup is made up of mostly Walmart issue supplies.

Plastic bin
air pump biggest one they had (30-60 gal)
tubing
2 air stones
water (spring)

basket, hydro rocks, and rockwool all bought at a local hydro store.


Using CFL'S for lighting. Currently have 5 26w bright white (daylight) bulbs.

Nice this is another nirvana strain I've been looking at too good bag appeal I'm real curious on smoke report.
Thanks for the grow characteristics a 3X stretch is not great but 38inches aren't to bad to deal with either.
Good flower time too lol.
My bad skribed up in here good luck

Have changed the res to a 5 gallon bucket instead of the 12 gallon tub.

res temps @ 69


I gave her her first feeding yesterday. The guy at the hydro shop recommended
ORGANIC GROW QT - HUMBOLDT NUTRIENTS.
So that's what I bought.

she looks a little pale to me and her leaves went from sticking straight out to a slight droopy look.


any suggestions?
also any info on the nutes im using, and should I be using any other nutes/additives along with these nutes?

9 1/2 weeks


Just bought a 400w HPS, gonna start with that this morning when she wakes up.

Im done constantly moving the cfls around, HPS and MH from here on out.
