Ismokealotofpot,

Please got back to your post and bold the name, county and position. This will help people find the info. Thanks. I'm going back to my earlier post to ask others to do it too.

I've heard some horrible things about mmj and Kalkaska. You'd think with unemployment the way it is up there that they'd leave the people alone, they are just trying to make it and get by.

WW.
Brian Donnelly kalkaska co. prosecutor is anti mmj. He thinks "if you have any trace of it in your system and you drive, you are under the influence." It can take up to 30 days to leave your system so you will never be able to drive. The effects only last 2 to 4 hours so why cant you drive?

So wha's up? we gonna get that son of a bitch outta the judgement seat or what? Tell me what are more ways to deny him the chance to mess with anyone again.

Who is running against him is an equally important subject. If find real people running an issue. So I am almost led to believe it is like trying to cut grass. We will cut it down and it will re-grow. We must replace the mower with poison so that the grass is dead. You see?

Run for the seat Winter Woman or find one worthy to back. That is the first priority in my opinion. All to often they are the same with minor tweaks.

I think that we should target at least one person. I think Rep. Mike Rogers is a good choice for this. He seats on the committee for HB 1938 for making mmj a schedule 3 from a schedule 1 drug and he has said he will vote no in the committee. He is a former FBI agent and thinks it is a gateway drug. Period and oh yeah there is marinol

He needs to go. NOW.

Is there a replacement for this man that is worthy of our help?

It's too early for anyone to step forward yet.
I wish things were just a bit more easy when it came to politics. I know back in the day it was usually the charecter of the individual that got him into office. Now it is all about who you know and how much cash you can gather.

I used to have the mind-set of "what does it matter" "it is just too hard" "there is no way to compete" " I will just grab the shotty when they come" but yet the older I become the more I can see the power behind the punch of the people.. this gives me hope and hope is all I ever needed in the first place to get the fire burning blue. - without hope all is lost

I am sure someone with the right heart is already ready to take the job - he just needs hope.

ok got ya. These people need to wake up and look at the medical breakthroughs that can happen. I wounder if any of them had a friend or relative die from cancer. If the cure for cancer is illegal, then they are giving these people a death sentence. I don't understand why someone can have such an animosity toward a plant that can erase your carbon foot print, produce a zero emission fuel and cure cancer.

Back in the begining your body was yours. This rule must be re-established "period". That is how deep you must go to find the cure for this illness.

I will support the man or woman that reconizes my God given rights. I hate politics I wish it were based on reality then I could understand the problems but shit many of the problems we face today a kindergardener could tackle. That a group of 20 $100,000 paid 50 year old mo-fo's can't quit get?

Now if years of edjucation and breast feeding and millions of dollars that has been invested in those 20 come up with the grand idea to throw people in jail for smoking marijuana and going to jail for whale fishing in michigan on sunday and think it is just a grand idea?... I HAVE A FUCKING PROBLEM WITH THAT.

Give me a packed lunch and I will go sit at the UN and get shit done... case closed. Now if the people really had the right frame of mind this would be reality.

I took political science at nmc, what i found out was quite interesting. my teacher said every thing in the text book was lies and bs. Then he threw the book across the room and was yelling and spitting. After the tantrum he simply said in a nut shell you have to join a special intrust group and hire a lobbyist to live in DC and fight for the cause.

Or we can have Winter Woman run for governor. Then she can appoint us all after she is in office.

It would be interesting to see if we coordinated at visit your state senator and rep day in lansing. If there was a way to get 15+ people to actually go and walk the halls and tell everyone that they support MMJ.

Remember a long journey begins with the first footstep.

That sounds like an awesome idea!

I really hope that could happen.

Well hopefully a lot more people will bite on this idea and we can see where we can go from there unless you wanted to set a date up front and then let everyone know. The bigger the group of people walking into the doorways the more impact were going to have just on the first impression. I am truly excited if we can make this happen.

Maybe we should set a date and then contact compassion clubs so they can let their clients know about it and how important it is. There are 81 compassion clubs in Ingram county alone, and their livelihood are at stake. So we could field calls to them throughout the state. Some people here could cover their areas and drop a line and let the clubs and others know.

The thing we want to know is since the politicians will be there only one day in July and August will we really have their attention? I think that the house and the senate meet on different days too (not sure about that) If so, which one is the most important? Or do we wait and hold this on the first day they are in office in September.

If we do this I'll contact the TV and radio media, but only if I see we are really making this happen.

Plus, has anyone here ever done this before?

I think that would be a good move to contact compassion clubs around the county and the state. I agree also that we should pick a day that would A) draw the most people B)have the most impact. If a writing a letter to our legislature sticks out to the recipient more then emails then hopefully this will be at least 10 fold. We need to be able to convey the message that we are the people being represented and the rep himself is only 1 person in his district. So even if he/she is against anything marijuana related we need to nicely remind them that they don't just represent themselves and a majority or michiganders have passed this bill and need the government to clear up gray areas without infringing on patients abilities to obtain medicine.so I hope our fellow Michigan rollitup members will be interested in helping but I bet at least a few compassion clubs would be interested.

BECAUSE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>(drum roll please)......

Even though national opinion polling shows that more than 80 million American adults believe that marijuana should be made "legal" for adult use, only
30,000
people have ever donated to MPP. Thank you so much for being one of the few with the initiative, foresight, and personal commitment to actually do something about our country's failed marijuana policies. Your donation will help fund our efforts to end marijuana prohibition. When — not if — the battle is won, it will be because of the financial support from members like you.
Once again, thank you for your gift.
Sincerely,

For the cost of a bag or two by each one of us it could make a difference. Instead of starting up from scratch these guys are up and running, Now put your money where you mouth is please!
