there are plenty of arid parts of the world that doesn't mean we are running out of water! They have been arid for a while. and their government doesn't have the means/money to bring in water! have you been to the mountains lately? me and a buddy grow by a reservoir. The rancher that has the water right said it is higher than it has been in the last 10 years but has never been low! We suck thousands of gallons out of the reservoir, if there was a water shortage the rancher would tell us not to, instead of telling us the best place to back the truck up! Just because one parts of the planet are dry doesn't mean the rest of the world is running out of water!"The scarcity of fresh water resources and the need for additional water supplies is already critical in many arid regions of the world" Direct quote from my previous post. But what does the USGS know anyways.(that was sarcasm so you all know) How right you are Robert. Not many readers around here........
if it was such an issue mountain lakes and such would be drying up but they aren't! crater lake oregon got 120 inches more snow last winter that average. Go look at conditions around you and how they have changed over the last 100-200 years! not a lot! Then go look at the conditions of the places that have water supply issues and tell me they didn't have water supply issues 100 years ago, you can't!
