First, you must smoke the opium properly, do not apply a flame to it or you will burn off much of the active chemicals of morphine and codine.

Second, titrate properly, you must find that balance between your initial excitation and nausea. Opioids affect your brain, your stomach and your intestines. The stomach will be affected and you can get sick enough to throw up especially during your first few times - if this happens you smoked too much (or you are willing to let the bad effluent out of your body and within moments you are perfectly fine).

Once you do have the effect, then do a mix with your favorite herb but don't smoke them at the same time.

Finally, when you figure out how much you can take, eat it. You lose your initial rush but you gain in duration and depth of your experience.

In my travels I have yet to meet someone who has not been awed by opium when they have smoked it properly.

They don't call morphine GOM (God's own medicine) for nothing. It puts everything else (including heroin, in my opinion) to shame and the mix that is opium is comparable to nothing else.

How do you think opium compares to a good dose of kratom? We put some O on the end of a paper clip and heated up a coat hanger to burn it with. I hit it through "the arab". It was a a glass with folded over saran wrap held on top with a rubber band. One side longer than the other, so it looked like a piece of arab headgear. A straw going into the water was the bowl and another straw going into the air pocket is what we hit. The arab guy who sold us the stuff showed us all this and is how he personally smoked the stuff. I only bought a few grams and never got the "nod", just a nice relaxed felling. It also gave me energy and made me relaxed at the same time. If I did too much I just felt hot, itchy and a little sick. I did however love the stuff and craved it hard. That is why I only did a few grams and then no more.

I decided to try Kratom, so I got some Red Vine the other day. I took a 5 gram dose and it felt very close to O and lasted for 6 hours. I experienced the "nod" for a few hours while reading off the internets and then went to bed. No bad side effects and felt great the next morning.

I typically dose kratom at 8-12 grams, and it gets me good and messed up! I'm hoping that I find opium more pleasurable. I think I'm gonna eat some kratom now, actually. Too bad I don't have gel caps... I hope I don't puke tossing back the powder.

Opium :D Just bought some from a very close friend :D:D:D:D God I havent done the shit in months. I'm smoking it right now, to bad the pipe hasnt delivered yet :(

I'm smoking it out of my crack pipe shhhhhhh

I've always used a oil burner pipe if available, I know i've wasted the shit out of some opium though, smoked it mixed with joints and hooka bowls... Love it still

I have yet to try Kratom. I have been somewhat wary of it because it sounds like the sweet spot for a dose is pretty narrow and I don't know, 5 grams is a lot of ugly tasting powder to cram into one's face. I am sure I will get around to it for various reasons, not the least of which, the authentic stuff is so hard to come by. So I can't compare the two with you, sorry.

The problem with oil pipes and meth pipes is that the opening of the bowl is too small. this makes it hard to clear the dross out of the thing for your next round, also, even that can apply too much heat and you may find that the crust at the bottom of the bowl glows. You only want to see that at the very last, when everything else is gone. It doesn't take that long to learn but I assure you, that skill makes all the difference.

yep thats why i had to throw mine out, think it lasted two weeks before there was just to much "residue" left over the pipe became useless.. but gotta make do with what you have..

i haven't really thought about growing poppies in awhile, thanks to this thread i think ill throw a poppy plant in the mix this year... i cant believe i threw out my giganteum poppy seeds i had 1000's of em... god dammit...lol

oh well the seeds are cheap as hell :) once you get growing you could get the seeds from those pods :D and never have to buy seeds again
