Supercropping and Canopy Control

Only thing i would do during flower is LST ,Super croping when flowering will stop growth for a time , super croping is more of a high stress training for growth period, you have to damage plant to cause growth lower in plant....This is what i do ..UB's toping (top at second true internode for 4 main colas)then when colas get 3 or 4 nodes on them pinch(super crop) the 4 colas .when growth becomes figorus again start tieing down branchs(LST)to create even canopy..then iam done .no pruneing no cutting off anything green and happy

A nice method and pretty much what I like to do... Except I don't really follow any techniques other than do what I do lol. I'm pretty sure I do something close to UB's technique but its done when I give the vegging young plants a "haircut". Thanks everyone to contributing here, I really think that supercropping is something many people are not aware of and I really don't know what I would do without it.

I'm right there with you!

I did some supercropping and some topping, but since this is my first grow there is a chance I didn't do it correctly. Only time will tell! My fingers are crossed.
Don't be afraid to experiment, you're not going to hurt them :D I often top to slow the growth of a branch and then supercrop it to stimulate extra shoots. It works great, just did a few last night.

The more you experiment the more confidence you will get, don't be afraid to get aggressive low on the plant, early and often. Play with them to see how you can manage them. I will try to start uploading some more pics of my grow now that we are getting some more visitors.

Here is a Shackzilla I let go because of space issues. I was forced to crop her and her sisters today because they were about to grow into the light. In a couple weeks she will go from having 4 or 5 main colas to having a lot of bud sites. I also topped all of the main shoots to stimulate lower growth. Shitty phone pics, sorry.

Here is the Shackzilla after 3 or 4 days of heavy aggressive low supercropping. Check out my hobbit feet lol.

Here is a Hericules I cropped at the same time.

My flo box is full! I've got too many vegging plants ready for flower lol. They will be beasts by the time they're ready for flower. They're going in super soil about a week before they will flower. But dude I really want to. I got those Spectra 180's and I still haven't even hooked them up. I thought about buying another small tent and doing a scrog with them instead of adding them to my 4 x 4 600w box. I'm skeptical though because I already have enough fucking work to do in there everyday haha.

A final comment, SUPER SOIL RULES!

Hey stoney where do you get those scrog screens you use?
I wish i knew where to get that plastic square screen (the flat kind)... I found that one piece i have in my grandfathers garage. I haven't found any in stores yet.

Those wire baskets that I use(dome tome) came from the dollar tree.

The mature plant is Ice, the early flowering plant is the El Monstre (Sannies Seeds; pics 5 and 11) we talked about Jozi, she's at 32 days in the Super Soil and waaaaaay behind :(

The Ice is at about 57 days, she's ready today but I won't have time until Tuesday to chop her down :( Super Cropped the Ice plant a lot more than the EM. The Ice was bound before I took the pics but I let her loose for the last few days.

Wow man absoulutly beautiful man!!!! I was in a position not to long ago were my plants went through an insane stretching phase. I was almost positive that they were going to stop before I ran out of room. Any ways they didnt and about three weeks into flowering I was forced to super crop. I know every body says that you cant do it to a flowering plant and that it will stress it out to much and the stems are to hard but I did it and had great success the tops that I super cropped never went back to straight and it gave me the perfect amount of room to keep them going in that box. Great thread by the way!!!

When you SC'd during flower, do you think it effected your yield in a positive or negative way? I understand why you did it, was just curious of the overall outcome.

To tell you the honest to god truth. I didnt get to finish the plants. My father passed away and I was unable to check them for a while. Although the two tops that I super cropped where the two main colas they were also the fattest. So I really could not tell you but I would imagine that they would get more nutrient delivery and they would have been the best yeilding.
