um, dude, my parents, my sister, my brother, my grandmother pays taxes... everyone payes taxes. Ill even pay taxes when I get a job... its just part of living here, you gotta pay the cost. when my dad was making 250,000 dollars a year, they took as much as they could. and hey, its a part of life. why should everyone pay taxes for those who dont want to?

what annoys me is people who expect everything to be in spanish. i am sick of all the spanish messages on phones, the spanish interpreter in court, learn english if you're living in the USA!

i see jobs that only hire people who are bilingual english/spanish. thats discrimination against english speakers as far as I am concerned.

i wish i spoke spanish but unfortunately, i don't have any spanish speaking relatives and i didn't grow up around it so i don't know it. i am from the north, plus, my parents were of a stupid generation where they didn't realize the importance of a foreign language. i guess i could learn now but i can't afford to take a class.

I worked with various crews of illegals when I was out of high school doing landscaping and roofing.
I also speak some Spanish that I learned from my father who was born and raised in Mexico.

Even I could tell their Spanish was poorly spoken.

They aren't going to learn the language... So why can't the country that "prides" itself on its education learn to speak it?
Like they can't substitute gym class for a mandatory Spanish class..

because we shouldnt have to pander to a part of the population. seriously. the majority of people in the united states, despite any race they are, speak english. why should gym, which is an important class (seriously, dancing in high school, which fell under the p.e. department, is the only thing i did to keep in some kind of shape), be replaced with a class that was only meant to benefit a minority of people living in the united states

school doesn't get you a job, experience and skill does. people need to stop thinking school = job. i have friends who went to harvard and couldn't get a job that paid over 50k a year - they were 10 years out of school. when i was working in a real estate office, people from ivy league colleges were applying for our administrative position that paid $10 an hour.

schooling doesn't guarantee you a job.
