My Feelings On Illegal Immigration, Do They Make Me a Hypocrite?

ugh im trying to register, but cant find a place that is doing it, its the wrong time of the year. I was an intern last election season and loved it. I was only 6 months shy of being able to vote. pissed me off so bad. but at least our candidate won.

I had a boss that told me to hire Mexicans only. It was a landscaping company, she paid $20/hour with medical. The same illegals came back year after year. I know several people that would work like dogs for that money and benefit. Hire green card or Americans, I say.

I never did find out how she got them Blue Cross.

It's nice to sit back and let people do good work and not have to worry about ever getting sued for injury.

what do you have to do to register?

I registered when I was 17 and all it took was mailing in a little form with my address, name, ssn and signature.

thats the thing, is normally there are people standing around offering to register you to vote, and etc... but i cant find them. plus, registering to vote=you'll be on a mailing list. which is fine by me, but i feel bad for all the poor interns. based off of you registering to vote, huge stacks of names are given to the main candidate in your region for each party. an intern's job is to go door to door based off of that stack of names, call you from that stack of names, scan that stack of names, shred, cross out, fix info, etc, revisit the same house over and over. it fucking sucks, but i did love office work.

She did pay taxes on them this was not under the table. They got real payroll checks. They were covered by worker's comp. I don't know how she did it, but she did. I was her personal assistant so I got see more than most. At end year they all got big bonuses and went home to their ranches.

All you do is print the form, fill it out, mail it in. Then they send you a card.
And even if you don't have a card you can still vote.

Its really not that big of a process to register.

That's the problem they don't want to go through the procedures to become citizens, hence they ae illegal immigrants. They don't want to learn english or buy real estate, they want to collect as much money as possible and send it back to Mexico, because that is the country they show allegiance to. You don't have to be white to be an american, or black to be african, we are a country not a race. America was conquered by europeans, the land became theirs when Mexico signed the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo because they lost the war. Thats how the world has always worked. They conquered the land at one point too .

What exactly was the process to become a citizen when all of the white immigrants came over? Weren't they just brought over on boats?

they had to wait at either angel island in sf, or in ellis island in nyc. they would be given medical checks, asked if they had work planned in the us, whether they were buying land, etc... then if they failed the medical/job thing, they would be kept waiting for up to months on the island then sent back to where they came. if they made it through, their names were often anglicized, and posessions were checked for disease like fleas and shit... even if they were accepted, sometimes they'd be made to stay on the island for long periods of time... and lots of times they rejected immigrants because of where they came from in europe

I see no ill effects from the last amnesty that was granted to undocumented immigrants, in fact keeping them illegal is the problem. I am going to go out on a limb and say that most if not all would like to be able to become citizens if the opportunity were presented.,

what would you do if you were facing starvation or unable to provide for your family and you knew that work was available in the USA?
