Uh oh... help!

I do not know the pH of the water or the soil. The soil doesn't seem to be allowing the water to flow through to the bottom very well.
The leaves on this plant just started turning yellow a few days ago. There is also a bit of brown showing in one side. Yesterday one of the leaves was so dry that the tip of it broke off when I touched it. It doesn't seem to be as dry today, though.
There is a small amount of bone meal mixed in with the soil but other then that there are no nutrients in there.

What's the diagnosis, doc?

looks like a few things could be wrong here without any info to go on.Looks like your in a clear soda bottle which will let light kill the roots so thats a no no.Looks like your grow box is in the back ground and seems to have to much light for that young a plant.Use an 8 buck shop light to get the plant really etsablished.Temps should be no more then 78 degrees in the grow area.So could be light burn if your using house lights.Could be root bond in the small container.Could be root damage or lock from light getting to roots.Soil maybe to heavy did you add perlite or vermalite to it to make it airy and allow roots growth?Any of these things seem like things you did or didnt do?

They are on 18/6 right now. They are two weeks and two days old. I'll give them some more water and spray the leaves in a bit.

I don't think it could be a problem with the lights. We are using four 13watt CFLs at the moment. Two right above the two plants, one light on the left, and one on the right side of the two plants.

We will be moving them (maybe even tonight) to larger gallon pots with better soil for the roots to grow into. The type of soil we are moving them into is Miracle Gro Organic Choice Potting Mix. It contains composted bark, peat moss, and poultry litter.
The N-P-K concentrate of the soil is: 0.10-0.05-0.05
We also purchased some perlite to mix in with the soil for better airation.

I am using MG Organic potting as well. I didn't use perlite in the beginning and found out real soon it was a problem. Mix in a good amount of perlite into the soil. I did around 30-40% perlite. I haven't had any other problems with the soil, other than lack of nutes after around 28 days. (Mainly Nitrogen) I am flowering now on day 6 (day 32 total) and just started Fox Farm Tiger Bloom for nutrients today. Could be that your pH is off causing nute lock. Or root rot due to the lack of drainage in the soil. (I almost experienced this, caught it soon before it got too bad.)

Clear container is a big NO NO! It exposes the roots to light and is not good! Get them into some real pots ASAP.

I also reccommend you get a cheap pH tester from Home Depot, Lowes, or a pet store (fish section). pH is vital to your plants well-being!

I would transplant tonight and give it a good watering after transplant is complete. It is best to transplant when the light cycle is about to turn off and go into the dark cycle. There is less stress on the plant when done this way. Good luck.
